Desmond’s five game arc finally comes to a close this week as Assassin’s Creed III, among other titles, hits store shelves and digital marketplaces everywhere.
Without hesitation, Assassin’s Creed III is the one game you should be picking up this week, even more so if you have kept up with the franchise since the beginning. Personally, I will be envying those playing as I am waiting the three weeks for a PC version of the game. For a great retrospective on the series up to this point, be sure to check out our multi-part feature on the franchise’s history.
If you think you will not be able to pry yourself away from the battle between Assassins and Templars, there is also a mobile entry in Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation hitting PlayStation Vita this week. A win for both fans of the series and Vita owners who finally have something new to play.
Also out is Need For Speed: Most Wanted. If you liked Burnout Paradise, this should be the next racer for you as it looks to be taking heavy inspiration from it as Criterion Games has solidified its position as the best developer working on the franchise.
