At the end of season 2, Nikita completed her goal of taking down Percy. After Percy threatened the President with a nuclear weapon, the ragtag spy team of Nikita, Michael, Alex, Sean, Birkhoff, and Ryan managed to infiltrate Division and neutralize the threat, resulting in Percy’s death.
Season 3 marks the start of the new Division. Under Ryan’s leadership, the new Division will seek to clean up the messes left behind by Percy and his agents. This season will see the group hunting down the “Dirty Thirty,” or 30 rogue agents who did not return to Division after Percy’s death.
According to executive producer Craig Silverstein, the first two seasons were “essentially…an origin story. Even though everyone had origin stories before then, you’re watching the formation of a super group. Now you’re going to see it move into action.”
Though the team will focus, at least initially, on tracking down the Dirty Thirty, Amanda will remain a “specter” hanging over everyone’s heads as she plots to take down Nikita by any means necessary.
