Before the release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, we had heard that the infamous dog bowl scene found in Stephenie Meyer’s book was shot. But Nikki Reed is now pondering where it went.

“We shot the dog bowl scene,” confirmed Reed to MTV in a new interview. “In fact we shot it enough times for my head to hurt because I was smacked in the head with various items that I’m sure at some point will be CGI’d into dog bowls – and one time it was a rubber dog bowl, and Taylor’s pretty strong.”

Because of all the pain she endured, she “needed that scene to end up somewhere. I never know what’s going to end up in there.”

For fans who do want it, she offers a glimpse of hope. “Here’s what I do know. Things that are not in the movie end up in the special feature section. So that’s good.”

You can watch the interview with Reed, who plays Rosalie Hale in the Twilight series, below. We know that the dog bowl scene was not included on the Breaking Dawn – Part 1 DVD/Blu-ray, so could it perhaps come in a future box set of the films with a slew of deleted scenes?

Breaking Dawn – Part 2, the final film in the Saga, will hit theaters November 16. We learned late last week that Reed will sing on the upcoming soundtrack with her husband Paul McDonald. Thanks to The Lexicon for the tip.

Do you think the Breaking Dawn dog bowl scene will ever see the light of day?

    What dog bowl scene?

In the book during Bella’s pregnancy, they make Jacob food. Rosalie makes it for him and turns a normal bowl into a dog bowl and carves ‘Fido’ into it. He throws at her after he’s done. I read the book some years ago and that’s all I remember!

Oh, it’s just the funniest dang moment in the entire series! Jacob is fed up with Rosalie’s douchy attitude, and is near the breaking point with both her proximity, and her intense defense of Bella (Meaning Bella’s intentions to have the baby regardless of the damage its doing to herself.) Rosalie brings out the dog-dish shaped bowl, and its the straw that broke the Quileute’ wolfs back! He pitches the bowl at her and it hits her so hard it knocks her head forward. It is an awesome moment in the novel. LOL. ;)

It’s a shame this scene didn’t make the final cut. It would have been pretty funny to watch.
