What does Arthur do in Merlin‘s third episode back of season 5? Read the description to find out, and learn which very special guest star returns.
BBC has released the following description of the third episode of Merlin series 5, which reveals the return of (drumroll please) Anthony Stewart Head as Uther Pendragon!
The description, as reported by SpoilerTV, reads:
When a stranger gives Arthur the power to summon the dead, the king finds himself torn between head and heart. Unable to resist temptation, he seizes the chance to speak to the person he misses most – his father, Uther Pendragon (Anthony Head). But the spirit world is a dark and dangerous place, for little does Arthur realise that his decision comes at a terrible price. Against all odds, Merlin must put right Arthur’s mistake before Camelot, and everything they have built, is destroyed forever.
This episode will air on October 20, at 7:45 on BBC One.
Merlin finally returns after a long hiatus this Saturday, with the first part of the two-part premiere episode “Arthur’s Bane.” After a two year time jump, the characters find themselves dealing with a much more dangerous Morgana, who has a new ally (played by Game of Thrones star Liam Cunningham) and is presumably going to team up with a now grown up Mordred (played by Alexander Vlahos).
Meanwhile in Camelot, Gwen is settling into her role as queen while Arthur finds himself growing closer to his knights.
