In the past day or two, we’ve gotten a few more sneak peeks at the premiere episode of season 2 of Once Upon a Time, titled “Broken.” Watch them here!
The first one centers around Emma, Snow, and Charming post-realization that they’re family. Both Snow and Charming seem excited to talk to Emma, but she’s a little hesitant to get into it right away. We see her asking for a little more time before they have that conversation.
The next clip shows Charming, Snow, Emma, and Henry locking up Regina. She informs them that the fairytale world is gone, and that’s why they didn’t go back. Once they leave, she attempts to break the lock with her powers, but is unable to. Mr. Gold strolls in and says, “Magic is different here, dearie.”
The last clip featured Mr. Gold and Belle together at the wishing well. Belle explains what happened to her, and Gold promises revenge on Regina.
Finally, we’ve also got a new promo video for the second season. The first half is a recap of season 1, but the second half contains footage from the new season with several of the actors explaining what’s coming next. We also get more shots of Aurora, Prince Phillip, and Mulan!
With this new promo, we see a Snow/Red reunion, as well as a reunion between Snow and the seven dwarves. Lana Parrilla (Regina) says that since there is magic in Storybrooke now, it means a whole realm of possibilities have opened up for this season — and, we imagine, future seasons as well. They also tease several new characters and share their excitement for not only Aurora, Phillip, and Mulan, but Hook as well. Jared Gilmore (Henry) says, “We’ve been blown away by what’s happening.”
Once Upon a Time returns this Sunday at 8 p.m. EST on ABC. The premiere episode is titled “Broken,” in which:
Reality and myth begin to merge as the fairytale characters awaken from Evil Queen Regina’s broken curse and remember who they were. But to their dismay, they aren’t transported back to fairytale land. To make matters worse, Rumpelstiltskin – aka Mr. Gold – in an effort to gain the upper hand in his power struggle with Regina, has introduced magic into the town. In fairytales magic has its place, but in our world it can have unfathomable consequences. Meanwhile, back in the fairytale land, Prince Phillip awakens his sleeping beauty, Aurora (Sarah Bolger, “The Tudors”), but discovers that he and his traveling companion, Mulan (Jamie Chung, “Sucker Punch,” “The Hangover Part II”), will soon have to face a deadly foe.
