America’s Got Talent just finished airing, and three acts have been sent to the finals.

As was to be expected, last night’s America’s Got Talent semifinal was filled with many acts that deserved to get sent onto the finals, but only three acts could. They first revealed the top four acts. Those acts were Joe Castillo, William Close, Todd Oliver, and Tom Cotter. William Close and Tom Cotter advanced automatically, and the judges decided that Todd Oliver would be going home.

(p) = our picks to advance

Advancing: William Close (p), Tom Cotter (p), and Joe Castillo

Eliminated: Turf, The Scott Brothers, Andrew De Leon, Academy of Villains, Edon, Donovan and Rebecca, Bria Kelly, Eric Dittelman (p), and Todd Oliver (sent home by judges)

With these advancing acts, next week’s final looks like it could be quite diverse. Advancing to the America’s Got Talent final is a musician, a comedian and an artist. Next week there will be a plethora of different acts that promise to make for a diverse final.

Performing next week for the final three spots in the final:

All That! (male cloggers)
All Wheel Sports (bike stunt tricks)
Clint Carvalho (bird handler/trainer)
David Garibaldi and his CMYK’s (art/dance)
Jacob Williams (comedian)
Lightwire Theater (light act)
Olate Dogs (dog tricks)
Sebastien “El Charro de Oro” (mariachi singer)
Shanice and Maurice Hayes (father/daughter singing duo)
The Magic of Puck (magician)
The Untouchables (dance troupe)
Tim Hockenberry (singer)

Do you think America got it right? Which acts got sent home that you think should have advanced?

I feel like this week was stacked with the best talent! The only talent in the above list I would like to see to the finals is the Lightwire Theater. ALL of the others to me are weaker compared to most of this week’s performers. Kind of disappointed in the way this was arranged.

My top 6 that should have gone on?
    William Close
    Tom Cotter
    Lightwire Theater
    Donovan and Rebecca
    Eric Dittleman
Toss up between Joe Castillo and Jacob Williams

I agree with you that this week had better talent than next week, but I also think
David Garibaldi and his CMYK’s and Olate Dogs are finale caliber acts as well as Lightwire Theater.
