Yesterday the BBC announced an exciting new web-based, Doctor Who mini-series called Pond Life. The series is to focus on the life of Amy and Rory Pond when they are not traveling with the Doctor.
Today showrunners Steven Moffat and Caroline (AKA “Caro”) Skinner talk about how the concept first came about and how they decided upon the writer for the series.
Yesterday Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill put their own spin on the series and what it means to them personally to have this unique view into the “normal” life of Amy and Rory.
Earlier today, stills from the episodes were released. Even though Amy and Rory may not be constantly on the TARDIS, it’s obvious from the photos that they still have alien life encounters.
The Pond Life series is slated to make its debut this coming Monday, August 27th. This is all a warm-up for the main series that begins airing on September 1st.
