Grey’s Anatomy has enlisted a new doctor to scrub in.
As TVGuide.com reports, True Blood‘s Tina Majorino will be guest starring in the upcoming ninth season of ABC’s medical drama.
She will play an intern named Heather, according to Zap2It.
“It’s really interesting that everybody seems to think we’ve hired new series regulars,” Rhimes told TVGuide. “It’s not. We hired some really lovely guest stars who are doing some really lovely guest-star stuff. It boils down to the fact that all our doctors are attendings and one of the things that I want to see our attendings doing is teach, so that’s what we’re seeing.”
You may also recognize Majorino from her roles in Veronica Mars, Bones and Napoleon Dynamite.
She joins Gaius Charles, of Friday Night Lights fame, and True Blood alum Camilla Luddington as the most recent additions to the show.
