Following Dan Harmon’s exit as Community showrunner, fans might be worried about the quality of season 4. But lead actor Joel McHale doesn’t share those concerns.
In an interview with NBC Philadelphia, the actor talks about a recent table read of the first episode of season 4, and has some reassuring words for worried viewers:
We read the first script yesterday and the script was great. We were all very curious to see what it would be like. It’s really good, and so everyone was really happy. […] The show is just as ambitious as it’s ever been.
He also comments on the new showrunners David Guarascio and Moses Port, who he has worked with before. He says that he has confidence in the new team, because, “I knew that these guys could deliver, and a lot of the same writers came back.”
In the same interview, McHale also reveals that his favourite episodes have been “Remedial Chaos Theory” and “Regional Holiday Music.”
Are you worried about the fourth season of Community, or does McHale’s confidence help reassure you about the quality of the show?
