It looks like Josh Hutcherson is preparing to slip into the role of Peeta once again for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

The start of shooting for the film has long been rumored to begin this month, and this photographic evidence provides concrete support.

Hutcherson was snapped practicing at LA Live for his 3on3 basketball charity game which benefits Straight But Not Narrow. The game itself will be held tomorrow, August 3.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will be released November 22, 2013.

Thanks, Girl on Fire!

    :O hey there hottie!!!!

Ooooh that is a bad bad dye job >_< lol Hopefully they'll touch it up before they actually film. Right now, it just looks like he's bleached his hair. Hopefully they'll dye it a nice golden blonde with tones and shades to make it look more natural.

I remember seeing pics of him before filming really began for THG and being like "omfg what is wrong with his hair???" but it ended up looking really good in the film, so I'm sure this will turn out the same =)

  • Liderc

    Good lord he’s short.

    • Kim

To be fair, that tall dude is 6’11″ so anyone standing next to him will look tiny. Josh is average height at 5’7″, not tall at all, but hey I’d still do him.

      • Liderc

Average height? He’s 5′ 5”. And that guy isn’t 6′ 11” lol, he’s 6 foot maybe. Look at him compared to the girl, if he was 6’11 then the girl would be easily 6 foot.

        • Kim

LOL. That tall guy is UFC fighter Stephen Struve and he is listed at 6’11″. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stefan_Struve
The female reporter took her heels off at the end of the interview and she was at least a couple of inches shorter than Josh. Josh and Jennifer Lawrence are the same height when she doesn’t wear her heels and she’s listed at around 5’7″, so I believe that Josh really is 5’7″ and he’s said it in his interview this morning also.

          • Liderc

Did you just quote from wiki? lol

Hutcherson is 5.5. I’m not a “shortophobe,” it’s called pointing out facts.

          • Kim

LOL. Fair enough. Here’s Stephen Struve’s bio at the official UFC site. http://www.ufc.com/fighter/Stefan-Struve/

It just cracks me up that people act like Josh is 4 ft tall and it’s not like it’s something you can change about yourself. I’m only 5’1″ myself and I get all the short jokes and it sucks but whatever.

        • Kim

This amuses me because Josh clearly doesn’t let his height bother him, but it surely does bother shortophobes. I personally think he’s adorable at that height.

  • d3erudite

I am so excited for them to start filming ! I’ve already sent in photos to try to be an extra and if that doesn’t work out I’m just going to camp out near the set.

    • Jasmine-dixon

  • Rhiannon

Josh just said on the radio with Ryan Seacrest that filming begins in Atlanta in 2 weeks. :O

  • Goodfellow408

Who’s the tall guy? He should be Finnick haha

  • Me

      • Me

You can detect the sarcasm in some of them. Or maybe that’s just my nature. Idk.

  • Mely

    • peetaluvr
