Despite the fact that she is writing and starring in her own new comedy The Mindy Project, Mindy Kaling will be returning to The Office this fall, albeit not for long.
According to EW.com, Mindy Kaling will be returning to The Office this fall as Kelly Kapoor. However, she will be returning to say goodbye to the character.
“I think I’m going to be in the premiere and maybe another episode. That was big. I got attached to that character. It’s fun to see what’s going to happen to Kelly.”
Kelly Kapoor, although a background character, has been a integral part of The Office since the first season.
