In a new interview, Glee actor Grant Gustin (who played newcomer Sebastian starting in season three) reveals he auditioned for the highly anticipated role of Finnick in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
He said in a brief interview with The Insider, “I have auditioned for the role. I don’t think [the producers] know what they’re looking for just yet, but yes, I auditioned for the role.”
This quote seems to imply that Lionsgate still may be in the early stages of the casting process if they don’t know exactly what type of actor they’re looking for.
Catching Fire hits theaters in November. So far the only new cast member announced is Philip Seymour Hoffman, who will play Plutarch Heavensbee.
Gustin has been eyed for the role by many fans, thanks to his good looks, especially after he said in April he’d love to take on the part. He may be a bit too small physically, though, for the part.
