Iron Man 3 will soon be finishing up their shoot in Wilmington, North Carolina and now it looks as though Captain America 2’s production could be heading to film in the same city.
Iron Man 3 is headed to China in the next few weeks, after it wraps its shoot in North Carolina and the studio has apparently been working with State Rep. Danny McComas on extending the tax cuts, which makes the city so attractive to film studios.
McComas, a New Hanover County Republican, said extending the credit could help North Carolina score the sequel to Marvel Studios’ 2011 film “Captain America: The First Avenger.”
The production company, he said, is pushing for the legislation. According to its website, Marvel has announced the sequel will be released April 4, 2014.
We’ve heard that principal photography for Captain America 2 is set for January 2013, but as we stated Thursday, Thor 2 will be the next Marvel film shot directly after Iron Man 3.
