Pottermore House Cup awarding date announced

Yesterday, the Pottermore Insider announced that the interactive Harry Potter website’s House Cup would “soon” be awarded.

Now we have a date.

July 5th!

This means there is still time to brew potions and duel to earn points before the Cup is awarded. While Gryffindor and Slytherin have a significant lead, it’s still game for any of the four Houses.

Pottermore’s announcement also said that news concerning Chamber of Secrets would follow.

Pottermore may have had a shaky start, but I have very few complaints now. I was a beta tester so I feel like PS has been out forever, but having those small updates have really helped. I’m glad to see they’re still working on making it perfect!

Shame Hufflepuff is so low on the points. So many people dislike Hufflepuff that when they’re sorted, they just abandon that username. :/

I think this further supports the theory that we’ll possibly see CoS by Harry’s birthday. The house cup is awarded at the end of term, maybe this indicates the end of SS and will soon be followed by the opening of CoS?

I spent a few hours on Pottermore last night and actually had a lot of fun! Besides having to sit at the computer for that time, I brewed a few potions and dueled some people (losing 80% of those duels, mind you), so Pottermore definitely isn’t a bust for me.
