So, what exactly will you find on each disc in Harry Potter Wizard’s Collection – the mammoth film boxset being released this September?

Amazon has revealed the disc-by-disc breakdown. Despite this, the collection is still not going to seem worth the big price tag to fans.

Some of this information has already been revealed in the past few weeks. Even though Amazon provides all of the below information, we still think there are a few video features yet to be announced.

Harry Potter Wizard’s Collection Bonus Disc
Nearly 4 hours of features including: All New! “The Harry Potters You Never Met” – Watch how thrilling stunts from the films were performed, and learn about the tricks behind the major stunts in the series.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 Bonus Disc
Over 2 hours of features including: All New! “Creating the World of Harry Potter, Pt. 7: Story”

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 Bonus Disc
Over 4 hours of features including: All New! “Creating the World of Harry Potter, Pt. 8: Growing Up” and All New! Extended “A Conversation with JK Rowling and Daniel Radcliffe” with 15 minutes of new footage.

Label Collection
This 32 page, 5″ x 7″ perfect-bound collection of prop labels from the films was designed exclusively for this collection by MinaLima Design. The book includes labels from potions, memory vials, Honeydukes and Wheasley’s Wheezes.

Harry Potter Catalogue of Artefacts
This 48 page rigid book was created by MinaLima Design: Eduardo Lima, Miraphora Mina and Lauren Wakefield, former graphic designers on the Harry Potter films. Filled with their favorite props from the films designed in “shadow boxes,” this stunning catalogue can only be found in the Harry Potter Wizard’s Collection.

  • Me

    SO BASICALLY b.s.

  • http://www.twitter.com/matsemann08 Matsemann08

I would buy it because I only have the films on DVD, but it’s still waaaaay to expensive…

  • Cellochick13

    I don’t have a blu-ray player or I might consider it…

  • Azeem

That is a lot of content, so maybe it is worth about £250-300, but I would rather wait about 10 years and buy all the Blu-ray 3D versions of them all. They did say they were going to do that anyway.

  • http://twitter.com/BlahJoe Joe

I’m sorry but the extra content will be able to be seen online for free, the rest is just features we already have on current discs.
Nope, sorry, until WB release ALL the scenes that they’ve NEVER released (a Youtube video shows this) I will not buy anything else.

    • Isak

      which video? please do share.

    • BritishHobo

Films can be seen online for free. You can torrent them. By your argument all DVDs/Blu-Rays are worthless.

  • Eric

those documentary parts better be available on forthcoming ultimate editions…

  • JSmith

They only way this would be worth they purchase is if ALL the Blu-Ray copies were the extended edition. I own all the DVD’s and a few Blu-Rays. I would like to own all the extended/ultimate Blu-Rays. This one feature would let me buy this set.I really only want it for the box…

    • Alex

the problem is that- outside of the first two films, maybe the third as well—
the “deleted scenes” on movies 4-8 can’t possibly fit back into the film

*example, in Deathly Hallows part 1- the scene between harry and dudley- has blatant unfinished special effects and green screen, so it couldn’t really fit back into the film- it would be really jarring.

it would be AWESOME though if we could get extended editions, but i dont have high hopes

If you buy all the ultimate editions separately it turns out to be about $350.  So if you don’t the any of the ultimate editions, this might be for you

  • http://www.facebook.com/jennifer.horn Jennifer Horn

I wish they would sell a blu ray or dvd only copy. Cause no matter what format you prefer your paying for both which i’m sure is upping the price considerably.

    • akacj7

      couldn’t agree more.

  • http://twitter.com/hpfan88 Janie Cortes

I really wish and hope that they release the last two Ultimate Editions since I was waiting until they had a complete set of those to buy them. I would hope it wouldn’t all go to waste, especially for those who have already bought the individual editions.  *fingers crossed*

  • Samirahf92

Would this be worth buying if I didnt own any of the Potter films??

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=690341156 Andrew Davies-Land

      no..

    • Wittle

      Nope.

    • Rebroxanna

       no doubt about it

    • http://twitter.com/L_Graden Lucas Graden

It would be worth it if 1: you have a blu ray player and 2: you don’t own but would’ve planned on buying the Ultimate Editions. This is around the price of all of them together, and with 31 discs, some DVD and some Blu-Ray, at $10 a piece, you are only paying around 40 more bucks for exclusive footage and collectables. All in all, I recommend it.

  • AshQuill

They BETTER released those last two Ultimate Editions separately…..

  • Tomas

Seeing what’s in it… I NEEEED TO HAVE IIIIT!!!!!!!!!

  • Samuel

The thing that bugs me about this is that they’re only releasing the extended cuts of the first two films when obviously eventually they’ll release extended cuts of all of them.

  • potterjay

So basically, it’s all of the ultimate editions in 1 package? I’m quite glad I only bought 1 now!

  • http://eternalbookshelf.wordpress.com/ Ani Sharmin

I’m kind of annoyed at WB for this. I don’t usually buy special/ultimate/super editions, but I made an exception for Harry. I saved up and bought the first 6 ultimate editions. I wouldn’t have done it for other series, but I spent the money because it’s Harry Potter, because it’s my favorite series that means a lot to me (as I’m sure it does to many others as well).

Now, they’ve come out with this. It’s not worth it. The new stuff I’d be getting that I don’t already have isn’t worth $500 or even $350.

    • http://twitter.com/CamelotCast Merlin Podcast

This is the reason I never bought any of the films or boxed set. I knew something like this would be coming.

  • Han

I really get why people are so annoyed by this and sympathise with those who want it but can’t afford it. It is a lot of money for something frankly all major fans will have 80-90% of the content anyway, however I have pre ordered to buy this. The reason is because I don’t have any of the Ultimate editions so I will get all of the documentary parts plus the last two parts for the final film and as someone rightly said below, all the Ultimate editions cost about the same as this collection put together anyway!! I also don’t have special features for film four and I don’t have the Chamber of Secrets either as watching it over the years rendered it destroyed (the other copies of films are going that way as well) Plus, I am hopeful that they will include bloopers, behind the scenes clips and never before released scenes from the movies, such as Sirius and Bellatrix’s fight, extended Snapes’ Worst Memory and the first 19 years later scene they did etc. We haven’t got specific details of what will be included in the ‘never before scene’ material.

Also, this is supposed to be the last ever released boxset done by Warner Bros. whether this is true or not I don’t know. Half of me wishes it is so that I know all of the stuff we have been waiting for will be included and I won’t be wasting my money, however the other half will feel sorry for those fans who can’t afford this! Furthermore I do think it will be nice to have all of this at home to hand, I know it will all be released for free online but I don’t think for me personally it would be the same :) What are other peoples thoughts? Do you think this will be the last collection released as they have said? Do you think they will release all of the material from over the 10 years of filming, or do you think they still have it locked away?

  • Delena

……..so are they not making an Ultimate Edition of DHp1 and p2? Because the Part 7 and 8 of the documentary is on this…. And we haven’t heard anything about those two parts. I’m gonna be really pissed because I have all the other Ultimate Editions… I just want to finish my collection!!! That’s really unfair and REALLY pisses me off. That’s such an awful way to get us to spend a ton of money that we don’t need to. After all these years, us Potter fans have been loyal and we’ve already given an unbelievable amount of money to WB- and now they do this to us? Jee, thanks WB. If I hadn’t already bought the existing Ultimate Editions, this might be worth it, but since many of us already have at least one…what’s the point? They shouldn’t have made those Ultimate Editions if this was going to be released.

  • Bernardotriana

what do they mean with extra content

  • Ncnapper92

Or you could go to Walmart and buy the first 6 films for $5 dollars each on DVD. As for the special features, go to google or youtube. I just saved you a lot of money.

  • Christinec2426

That sounds great and all, don’t get me wrong, but $350 is just way too steep for me, I already own all the Potter movies, and I know that all the content will eventually appear on Youtube. And I have a feeling WB still has extra footage locked away to sell in future boxsets. After all this time WB’s main focus is still the $… of course.

  • Kc

It gets worse! Amazon.com is manipulating the reviews in order to sell it! http://wayland.ws/?p=898&preview=true

  • Mrs-N-Uzumaki

    This looks great! :D

    *looks at price*
On second thought…it’s not THAT awesome.
