Nine new ‘Les Miserables’ photos released, teaser trailer coming tomorrow!

Last Friday, the official Facebook page of the ‘Les Misérables’ film adaptation announced a teaser trailer to come on Wednesday and now USA Today has published nine new photos from the movie in anticipation!

The photos, featuring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, and Samantha Barks, are a mix of completely new stills and new versions of older stills.

Love these photos? Are you excited for the trailer? The teaser on Wednesday is anticipated to be the full, HD version of the trailer leaked online a week and a half ago.

The film, set to open in theaters Dec. 14, also stars Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen and is directed by Tom Hooper.

Does anyone else think that young cosette in the first picture looks like the white walker child from the first episode of game of thrones? She looks super creepy…

  He’s playing Monsieur Thénardier, the innkeeper to whom Fantine entrusts the care of Cosette. He and his wife are essentially the comic relief in what can otherwise be a pretty depressing (although beautiful) musical.
  
  Look up the songs “Master of the House” or the short reprise, “Beggars at the Feast”–both humorous songs the Thénardiers sing. I think he and Helena Bonham Carter will be brilliant as this pair.

    thank you for explaining his role. I was just afraid that the movie was going to have this horrible nonessential role that would ruin an otherwise pretty dang good movie.

Okay–I like Amanda Seyfried (though I haven’t heard her sing yet) and I think she’s beautiful, but the expression on her face in that photo is terrifying. Am I the only one who thinks that?

Also…I agree with the previous comment: is Samantha Barks wearing a corset or something? I suppose it’s appropriate since Éponine is living on the streets, but she looks unhealthily skinny!

Looking forward to the trailer! I just hope they don’t cut too much from the musical to make it a more agreeable movie running time. I believe the musical lasts three hours (with intermission).
