The X-Men: First Class actor will star in a unique double-feature film project.

Variety unearthed the casting news, which surfaced at the Cannes Film Festival. McAvoy will star alongside Jessica Chastain (The Help) in The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: His and The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Hers from dual scripts by Ned Benson (In Defiance of Gravity). The films will tell the story of a New York couple living through life-altering events from two different perspectives – McAvoy’s restaurant owner and his wife (Chastain).

A release date has not yet been set for either film, both of which will be released as standalone features.

Are you interested in this unique approach to storytelling?

I LOVE James McAvoy!  He was awesome in X-Men and I also really like the “The Last Station”.  This sounds really interesting.  I’m definitely going to have to check it out!

That sounds fantastic!! Also, the title is exciting because I feel that there HAS to be some sort of Beatles tie-in :). It really does sound interesting, and I can’t wait to see it!!

The concept certainly sounds interesting, and I love The Beatles, and James McAvoy is in it. I will watch anything with James McAvoy…I may not watch it twice (e.g. Wanted), but I will watch it.
