Taylor Lautner has landed his next role, which will be financed by the Twilight producers Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen!

Lautner has signed to star in Tracers, which will be distributed by FilmNation Entertainment. Twilight producers Godfrey and Bowen will together produce Tracers.  Daniel Benmayor (The Manhunt) will direct.

Deadline reports:

Lautner will play Cam, a messenger in New York City who is a wiz on a bike but who’s in debt to an organized crime gang. He crashes his bike into a sexy stranger and is seduced by her and the thrill of the world of parkour that she introduces him to. The buzz has begun spreading on the film and it there is bidding among a number of territories. It is also very possible that a domestic deal will be made quickly.

“We’ve had great successes making films for this audience and believe this project will continue our solid track record,” Bowen said and Godfrey added that “We had a remarkable experience with Taylor on Twilight and look forward to bringing Cam to life.” Lautner’s next pic, Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn–Part 2 will be released November 16.

Are you excited that Lautner, Godfrey, and Bowen will be reunited for this thriller? What do you think of the plot?

As much as I love Taylor Lautner, this doesn’t sound like it’s going to be any better than “Abduction” was…

“We’ve had great successes making films for this audience and believe this project will continue our solid track record”

Does this person not have a filter?
He pretty much said they cast him because his fans are suckers.
Or was he referencing other films?

I know that happens all the time in Hollywood but nobody says it.

Whatever. This movie sounds awful but I will hold all judgment until I see a proper trailer.

When there’s Taylor, there’s always a motorcycle involved.
