We’ve been waiting all season to see some of these reveals tonight, but there was still a lot which no one could have predicted! As far as season finales go, this was absolutely mindblowing, and we can’t wait to see what they do in the second season.

That said, what are they going to do in the second season?! We’re sure you’re all full of amazing theories, so share them in the comments, react to the sad moments, and discuss!

  • LitMer8

Anyone else super confused with the last scene?…uhh someone explain.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joey-Mangum/1820064015 Joey Mangum

Everyone’s magic is coming back in Storybrooke. That’s what the cloud was bringing

      • http://twitter.com/ApDiggles ApDiggles

OOOOOHHHH! I thought the whole curse was restarting again because his son went to a world without magic so he wanted some more time to find him.

        • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joey-Mangum/1820064015 Joey Mangum

He needs the magic to find him. But with the clock stopping, I’m not entirely sure what just happened with that… Josh Dallas noted the time in the live chat during the finale…

    • Mel823

He was bringing magic back into Storybrooke. That’s why Regina was happy.

  • KirKir

The season finale was epic! What happened is what everyone wanted to happen I think! However, where do they go from here? I can only imagine what they come up with!

  • http://twitter.com/taylie27 Taylore Thompson

WHY RUMPLE WHY!!! If you just ruined all the progress they made in breaking the curse you’re as bad as Regina!!

And would it have been so hard to throw a Charming family moment in there really??

    • LitMer8

I wanted a Charming Family moment too!! :(

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joey-Mangum/1820064015 Joey Mangum

I’m kind of glad it didn’t happen… I feel like that’s a storyline they should reserve for season 2…

    • Sarah

Yeah, but Emma doesn’t have any memories of them outside of the “real” world. I think she’s going to be really weirded out. I mean, she and her parents are basically the same age. And Charming has been kind of a jerk in all of her experience.

  • http://twitter.com/taylie27 Taylore Thompson

    EMMA the Dragon Slayer!!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joey-Mangum/1820064015 Joey Mangum

That was BRILLIANT! A wonderful ending to a first season of a FANTASTIC show! I absolutely CANNOT WAIT for season 2! :D

  • Mel823

WOW! JUST WOW! I was not expecting the kiss to do all of that. I’m very curious to see where they’re taking this story.

Also, has been a very good year for the smoke monster.

    • http://twitter.com/xhpfanatic Grace Chen

I love that it was a mother-son kiss and not a kiss between a couple!

      • http://twitter.com/taylie27 Taylore Thompson

notice that it happened on Mother’s day ;)

    • akacj7

A good year indeed. Once AND Game of Thrones. =)

  • rdh014

I honestly would have been happy if they ended it all right there before the pink smoke monster showed up! I was practically CHEERING.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003582617559 Dorian Pratt

    who is emma fairy tale

    • http://twitter.com/RachelgurlFL Rachel Gay

i dont think she is a character from the other world

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joey-Mangum/1820064015 Joey Mangum

Emma from Fairy Tale land is just Emma… She was never affected by the curse, because she escaped with Pinocchio through the magical cabinet…

  • Meg2813

Freaking amazing! My mind is officially blown. I feel like an electric shock went through it. So many cliff hangers. Like what’s gonna happen to Pinocchio! Ugh I wanna know now!

  • OUATfreak

I literally threw the remote at the tv when it ended. I CANNOT wait for season 2

  • http://www.facebook.com/peggy.ruiz1 Peggy Ruiz

I wish they would have shown the Clocktower change into whatever it was in Fairytale land, then ended it. Just a hint would have been nice.

  • Katniss79

This was an awesome finale! I was smiling through most of it. I just knew Henry would be ok. I wonder what will happen with August and the pink smoke!!! Should be a very interesting season 2 premiere!!!!!

  • stjff03

Does this mean Maleficent is dead?? Not cool. I love Kristen Bauer. Also, I’m dying to know: who is Dr. Whale in Fairytale Land? I’m not sure where they’re going with this whole purple cloud thing, though. I mean, I get that it was magic, but then what?

    • belac889

      Hes the whale from Phinocho

      • http://twitter.com/xhpfanatic Grace Chen

         omg…why didn’t I think of that? hahha i feel so silly now…

      • stjff03

That’s what I’ve heard, but I don’t know why they’d make the whale a human in Storeybrooke…Jiminy Cricket became a human because he was a human originally, but I just don’t see why a whale would be included in the curse. And it just seems too obvious, haha. But who can say for sure?

        • HermionGranger21

Maybe it will show more of the Pinnochio story and we will find out that the whale was also a human first just like jiminy Cricket…

      • rdh014

Ooo see I thought that too. But then I thought that was WAY to obvious. I’m thinking that, yes, he is from the Pinocchio story, but maybe the fox guy or something like that.

        • Sarah

I was thinking that too. He definitely has the questionable morals and intentions thing down.

  • IrishMike15

So many feelings! I am so glad everyone remembers, but now that magic is back, Regina can get revenge on Emma. Did the magic bring everyone back to FT Land or simply just bring magic to Story Brook? And why didn’t they at least show Snow and Charming trying to find Emma?

    • http://twitter.com/RachelgurlFL Rachel Gay

i know i was thinking either emma would find them or they find her

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joey-Mangum/1820064015 Joey Mangum

They were still being all lovey and stuff when the purple cloud of magic came…

  • Cristinakc84

    I <3 the Huntsman!

    • http://twitter.com/xhpfanatic Grace Chen

I was SOOOO excited to see him again!

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joey-Mangum/1820064015 Joey Mangum

I was like: “TF? OHHHHH! HEEEEY!” When he took his helmet off

  • LitMer8

Does anyone think that showing the clock go back it means that the everyone will forget again?…that was the first thing that came to my mind…
    fyi.
I WILL BE PISSED IF THIS IS TRUE!

    • rdh014

I just re-watched and I’m pretty sure it went forward to 8:15 again. Plus Rumple said Belle “would” remember when he first saw her again, so I don’t think the spell/curse/whatever will make them forget again. The well is suppose to bring back what people have lost, so I think that is strictly speaking of magic. I think next season will deal with what Jefferson claims is the real curse…knowing the truth but still being stuck.

    • http://twitter.com/xhpfanatic Grace Chen

      THATS WHAT I THOUGHT TOO!

  • http://twitter.com/ApDiggles ApDiggles

I’m confused as hell! Did he start the curse up again?! Just because he hasn’t found his son yet? Grrrr!

    • IrishMike15

I thought he was just trying to get his power of magic so he can use it on Regina over Belle.

      • LitMer8

Ok I was thinking he started the curse again too!

        • http://twitter.com/ApDiggles ApDiggles

Ok, this is what bugs me. Did he bring magic back or did he start the curse again? He made the curse to bring his son back. He found Belle but not Bellfire. His son went to a place without magic. If he brings magic BACK then how will he find his son? I’m confused! *cries*

          • LitMer8

            I just feel lost….haha

          • Matt

The potion brings back what was once lost..in this case he decided to bring back magic in order to protect belle and just because he likes being powerful. He didn’t start the curse again. Hope this helps!

          • IrishMike15

The land without magic always had magic, just not a lot. (I.E. Regina’s ring). I figure Gold is thinking if he has his full power of magic back, he can find his son in that land.

          • http://twitter.com/taylie27 Taylore Thompson

I think they’ll still be in storybrooke they will just have magic now or be able to travel between the two worlds

          • Glaciusx

I actually never thought of that. Are they still on this planet, or back in fairy tale land? I think Rumple brought magic to earth, but at this point I don’t know. :s

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joey-Mangum/1820064015 Joey Mangum

Mr. Gold WANTED the curse broken, remember? He’s trapped in Storybrooke as long as the curse holds, and he needs to leave to find his son… What he did was bring magic back to all of the people from Fairy Tale land who had powers before the curse… I wonder, if magic is unpredictable in this world, then does that mean there’s a chance to bring back the dead? Like, Maleficent or Graham? I would be fine with it either way…

  • Jktgator

So what happened with Jefferson and his daughter; now that everyone remembers who they were? Will Jefferson finally beable to be Re-united in some way with his daughter?

    • http://twitter.com/xhpfanatic Grace Chen

I hope they start season 2 off with that!

    • Lauren

And August! I hope he turns back into a ‘real boy’

  • MattyW04

Loved it! I cannot wait to see how the fairy tale characters in the real world will get on now that magic has been brought into the “real” world!!

Regina’s smirk upon seeing it was crazy! Made me even more anxious for season 2!!

    • http://twitter.com/xhpfanatic Grace Chen

       My thoughts exactly!

  • http://twitter.com/RachelgurlFL Rachel Gay

i was pretty happy with the finale i have some questions i want answered but hopefully there will be second season will be interesting to see magic coming to our world and how emma is play apart in this now that she broke the course i really hope the show gets picked up for another season

    • LitMer8

The show was picked up. they announced it a couple of days ago :)

      • Skyler Leslie

        YES! My dream come truuuuueeeee!!!!

  • Marie

Perfect finale.  It’s going to be a long summer dearies.

    • Glaciusx

So true. At least I’ve got PLL to tide me over.

  • Glaciusx

Okay, this is just headcanon, but I predict Emma getting powers in season 2 and having an epic magic battle with Volde…..Regina.

    • http://twitter.com/xhpfanatic Grace Chen

Oh dear, I hope they don’t have Emma getting powers – that would ruin it for me.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joey-Mangum/1820064015 Joey Mangum

She didn’t have any to start with, so I’m thinking she won’t

        • Glaciusx

Who knows at this point? Haha, anything’s possible at this point. I mean, I didn’t even think any of the things that happen on last night’s episode would happen!

      • Glaciusx

How would her getting powers ruin it for you? Rumple DID bring magic back to Storybrooke, so her using it is pretty much inevitable.

    • Skyler Leslie

I love how you started putting Voldemort. HUGE HP FAN RIGHT HERE BABY!!!!!!!!!!!

  • http://twitter.com/glasswatar Sarah Sutherland

Actually, i felt really underwhelmed by this season finale. It wasn’t that shocking, but I think that may be because Vampire Diaries had me literally bawling my eyes out and left me so shocked, and I had watched that before this…

    • Muchfunny135

I agree! I’ve already watched TVD season finale 3 times and I cry every time. After that, this one I was left feeling like “that’s it?”. Hopefully season 2 will open with more excitement than season 1 ended.

  • QueenBeyondTheWall

I thought breaking the curse was entirely too easy. There was no sacrifice whatsoever. All magic comes with a price? Ha. It’s breaking magic, but it should still come with a price. I thought it was dumb that Maleficent was a dragon as well, who turns one of their most dangerous enemies into a dragon? Most of this episode bored me honestly. Probably because most of it was Charming, and I can’t stand that man. However, I am also incredibly excited for next season; I love that now everyone knows who they are, as I think it’s actually much worse for them. It’s worse to know that you’ll never be really happy, like Jefferson. He knows and he’s miserable. I’m still expecting Regina to reign. I hope Mr. Gold turns more Rumple-like, and I hope he and Belle get over the happy sappy stuff and she realizes that he’s kinda a jerk. In the real world, true love won’t make a jerk and un-jerk, and if this show acknowledges that I will officially stop mocking them for not being brave.
I really wished Regina would’ve broken the curse. That would’ve been wonderful. And jeez, show, stop with the “Regina loves Henry, but not enough to actually do anything about it. They don’t share DNA!!!” Emma cares about Henry. We gets it. That doesn’t mean she gets to be his mother.
Basically, I’m just begging for conflict from this show. Conflict and subversion and moral complexity.  Something more than “Leave Henry alone!” “NO!” or “I love you!” “You didn’t believe me! Jerkwad!” or “Dwarves hatch from eggs now!” I really like this show, but it’s not living up to its potential. I’m expecting next season to be better, and I think this finale actually set up some interesting ideas pretty well.
And yes, most of the the time, Rumple and Regina are my favorite characters.

    • rdh014

I totally get what you are saying (it seems too easy…but IS IT???).

I think the writers are just testing and teasing with what they can do. These are the LOST guys. Once things start to make sense they will throw a curve ball. I think it was a good way to start the series, and end the season. Can not wait for next season!

      • http://twitter.com/xhpfanatic Grace Chen

agreed! there’s going to be LOTS of conflicts in season 2

    • Glaciusx

You didn’t get it….there WAS a price. Did you not see that giant glob of purple smoke being unleashed?! I think that’s a very steep price. :P

      • rdh014

        Purple?

        I thought it was more of a pinkish-magenta color…

        ;]

        • http://twitter.com/xhpfanatic Grace Chen

My first thought was purple but now that I think about it…it was kinda magenta…

          • VioletTreeman

One of my favourite parts was when Emma said “To Hell with this”, dropped the sword, and started shooting.  I’m grateful that it wasn’t that easy but it was definitely a solid moment that stood on its own.

    • LGray1983

Rumple and Regina are why I watch this show…watching villains act theatrically villainous is far more interesting than watching good people be noble.

    • http://twitter.com/xhpfanatic Grace Chen

Actually I loved the Malaleficet into dragon thing, I thought it was really cool :) And I liked the rapid overlay and flashes between Charming and Emma fighting it.

    • http://twitter.com/taylie27 Taylore Thompson

Hate to be a downer but in the Disney Movie I believe Maleficent can transform into a dragon, or at least she can in Fantasmic! Wouldn’t it be awesome if they did a show of Fantasmic with Emma killing Maleficent now instead of Mickey :)

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joey-Mangum/1820064015 Joey Mangum

If you didn’t notice, the curse wasn’t entirely broken… Otherwise, everyone would have been sent back to Fairy Tale Land… My theory is, the curse was partially broken, but Rumple doing his thing to bring the magic back’s price was that the curse reinstated somehow… Why else would the clock have stopped again at 8:15?

    • http://www.eigakanthemovietheater.blogspot.com Jenny Leigh

I agree, the show really does need more subplot conflict. There is no “Emma wants ______ (emotionally) but ______ is in her way.” It’s all superficial, and I want Emma to be more prominent as a main character. I really like the show too, but something’s gotta give. I’m excited for the next season, but right now it feels like there’s all this potential, and yet it’s not reaching it.

Rumple’s my favorite too. He’s the only character that has depth I think.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=636033419 Maritere Domínguez

I liked the cliff hanger, however, breaking the curse appeared to be very simple nad fast. I would`ve liked to see more encounters for example emma and her parents or August coming back to life, but I expect we will watch that on season 2. I can`nt wait!!

  • Lorena

My biggest complaint about this show is a horrendously unbelievable villain. Regina, you are an offense to all villains. What drives you, the fact that a twelve year old was indirectly responsible for your true loves death? Not. Believable.
That being said, loved the finale, hopefully there’s only one more season, though. If they drag it out a third season, I may just stop watching the show.

    • http://www.eigakanthemovietheater.blogspot.com Jenny Leigh

I agree so much!! Ugh, when they revealed that she wanted Snow’s head on a silver platter because her twelve year old self was manipulated by Regina’s MOTHER, I was very angry. What was Regina, 12 too? It also seemed like at the end of the episode when she told her mother she knew it was all her fault, she didn’t blame Snow.

If I were Snow at that grave I would have told Regina, “Bitch please, open your eyes, it was your mother. Stop giving me all this shit over something that’s not my fault.” What also angered me in that scene was her nonchalant “Oh yeah, you killed my dad. We’re even now.”
I was hoping that there was more, but it doesn’t seem so. I don’t buy her as a villain, she sucks. Rumple is so much more intriguing. As well as The Mad Hatter (because he kinda is villainy).

  • http://twitter.com/xhpfanatic Grace Chen

AHHHH IT WAS SO FREAKING GOOD!
And it leaves Season 2 open to lots of new plotlines. I’m excited to see what trouble Rumpelstiltskin stirs up and how that will affect his and Belle’s relationship. Then I’m excited especially to see all the confrontations that will for sure be happening between Regina and her victims. Speaking of Regina, I’m loving that evil smile that left off with! Wonder how she’s going to take advantage of the coming magic and how the war between her and Rumpelstiltskin is going to play out. There’s also Emma having to accept the fact that her best friend happens to be her mother. EEK I’M SO EXCITED FOR SEASON 2!

  • Em

I was expecting someone major to die or something from the way the cast was describing it. But I didn’t have the urge to kill someone or throw things at my tv. Don’t get me wrong though. I loved the ending! I love how they resolved a bunch of issues and then set up the perfect ending for the start of season 2. I was left feeling very satisfied :)

    • http://twitter.com/xhpfanatic Grace Chen

I was so scared they were going to let Henry die!

      • TieDye24

I don’t think they would have done that, it would have been a good shock, but Emma does basically everything for Henry’s well being, I think she still needs to have that driving force.

  • http://twitter.com/Super_Lulu1 Lupita

I loved the Finale! I just wish Hypable had a podcast for it :D

    • http://twitter.com/taylie27 Taylore Thompson

I second this 100 times over

      • Anonymous

        Hear, hear!

        • http://twitter.com/xhpfanatic Grace Chen

DO IT, DO IT, DO IT!

          • VioletTreeman

            Brilliant idea!

          • Amy

            I’ve been thinking that, too!

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joey-Mangum/1820064015 Joey Mangum

I’d like to be in a podcast for OUAT… If it were done, and it were anything like the open auditions they did for Glee Chat… I’m a big fan of the show~

    • Sapph

Yeah, for this episode worth it!

    • Alexandrea

Yes please! I would so listen to a podcast; would give us all something to do over the summer while waiting for the fall season.

    • HermionGranger21

I completely agree.  a podcast would be awesome.

  • Chicken

Amazing! I usually watch OUaT on Hulu the day after, but I decided to watch it on TV for once. I have no idea what direction the show is going to take next season.

  • http://www.facebook.com/Panhead1922 Ande Anderson

It was incredible. I didn’t expect anything! Best episode of tv I’ve ever seen!

  • akacj7

i’ve never been immune to Once’s cheesiness and constant use of cliches, and I have yet to get through an episode without chuckling because of how ridiculous some things are that we’re supposed to buy into, but this episode was the best since the pilot (not a big surprise i suppose). even though i chuckled because it was ridiculous that emma had to fight a dragon (i haven’t come to expect much from Once’s special f/x team, but still, dragon could’ve been a cartoon), the emotional/family parallel between her and charming fighting off the dragon in fairy tale land was very strong and hit home for me. same with the henry’s “death” scene. i had totally forgotten he had eaten the apple, i thought he was just dead. i felt their devastation, it was beautifully filmed and scored (then when emma broke the curse i was like oh doi he ate the apple of course he’s not dead). whoever directed this episode did a really nice job hitting all the right emotional notes.

and the million dollar question: is the magic going to be in storybrooke or will they all return to fairy tale land? i kind of hope it’s the former. we’ve already seen magic in fairy tale land, i wanna see how it effects the real world! and if they are still confined to storybrooke for that matter.

  • rowrow

Does anybody have any thoughts on who they think Henry’s father is? At the moment I’m thinking it’s Rumple’s son… That would be a really good twist and might explain how/why Henry is so damned good at understanding the differences and intricacies of both worlds!!

    • Lauren

      Ooh that would be interesting!

      • VioletTreeman

That would be a very interesting backstory, how he and Emma met, why he left, and so on

    • http://twitter.com/NatashaPeartree Natasha Pereira

      oohh i like that!

    • http://www.eigakanthemovietheater.blogspot.com Jenny Leigh

Oooooooooh that would be so intriguing. I like it! And what if he slept with Emma because he knew/had a feeling she was from the same world??

Then Henry is Rumple’s grandson and now all the villains love Henry! I love it.

  • http://twitter.com/rosaliedavid12 Nessa Daae

I thought the finale was perfect and felt very fitting for a fairy tale story. I know breaking the curse seemed simple but remember all fairy tales have an underlying good overcomes evil in simple ways. I like that it paralleled snow and charming. I loved the dragon fight scene and maleficent turning into a dragon great! I cant wait to explore the belle/rumple relationship now that they both remember. basically i loved the finale and can’t wait for season 2 they did a great set up

  • TheHamburglar

What bugged me the most…we spend the whole season where Regina won’t admit she is the queen and saying that the whole scenario is ludacris, but Emma gets her in a storage room(?) and she’s all LOL ITS TRUE. Like really? I realize it was because of Henry’s situation, but cmon. I also wish they would’ve delayed Henry waking up until next season so then the audience wouldve gone the whole summer thinking he was dead. Yeah it would be torture, but it would really set the show apart IMO.

    • http://www.eigakanthemovietheater.blogspot.com Jenny Leigh

I know right!!! All this happened so fast. Henry’s coma/death should have been dragged out a little more, and Regina should have been more subtle, and Emma shouldn’t have been so believing all within 5 minutes of the episode starting.

  • Lauren

    So so so good!
Loved that Belle came back. I like her too much for a character who has only been in a couple of episodes haha

  • https://twitter.com/#!/Dillon_Mays Dillon

Why is the Huntsman back? I don’t get it.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joey-Mangum/1820064015 Joey Mangum

He wasn’t dead in Fairy Tale land.

      • Sapph

Exactly, he appears when the curse has not been done yet. Anyway, I loved see him again <3

  • Kennedy

Perfect. Couldn’t stop crying, and OMG Maleficent! (flail) It’s a perfect cliffhanger too because like Regina said; magic in our world is unpredictable. Anything could happen next season. Is it fall yet?

  • Kennedy

Also typical LOST writers. End of season one? Here is some strange coloured smoke!!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Gabriel-Garabrandt/1585929961 Gabriel Garabrandt

    cant wait for next season

  • TG

I think the flashbacks to Fairy Tale Land next season will focus on the “rebellion”, that is, Snow and Charming’s fight to claim back the kingdom from Regina and Charming’s adopted Dad. They set that up pretty firmly in the flashback after Charming kissed Snow. It follows that a similar struggle will take place in Storybrooke, with the restored citizens fighting Powered-Up Regina. It will be interresting to see what chaos ensues at the start of next season. If people’s original forms are going to be restored, too, then there could be some immediate danger after the smoke lifts. I am mainly thinking about Emma and Henry in the hospital with Doctor Whale (if he does turn out to be a ginormous, hungry whale).

    • MattyW04

I posted a while back that Mr. WHALE could be the whale in Pinocchio and people kinda dissed that idea.

Glad someone else agrees with me that it is a possibility! :)

      • http://wizforum.proboards.com/ Melissa West

I’ve been saying that since they introduced him as “Mr. Whale”

    • http://twitter.com/NatashaPeartree Natasha Pereira

thats a really great point about the parallel storylines in storybrooke and fairytaleland (fighting regina)

  • Mad

    In a word, amazing.

  • http://www.facebook.com/evalynda Evalynda Cayton

Really Mr. Gold…choosing magic? I understand that magic is power and with it he can find Bae, but you would think that he would have just chosen to bring back Bae and let Emma figure out how to go back to the fairytale land. This just proves how evil Mr. Gold is…and in the end he will always choose power over his family.

  • Amy

I am so interested to see how magic in “the real world” will be because even Regina said that it is unpredictable.  Although, why would Mr. Gold choose getting magic over having his son come to him?  I’m guessing next season will focus on how to get back to “Fairy Tale Land,” but I’m excited no matter what it is!
PS Emma and Regina make a great team, they should have just teamed up from the beginning :)

    • Sapph

Yeah, me too! I have an theory: What if the magic is expanded by the rest of the world? It’s a bit complicated to imagine, but it would be interesting!

      • Amy

Yeah, that might be really cool.  It would just mean that they have to show more of “the real world” instead of just Storybrooke – which would be interesting to see!

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joey-Mangum/1820064015 Joey Mangum

Ehh… It’s a good idea, but that sounds like something that might detract from the plot…

Besides, I don’t think it’s possible to have magic if you aren’t born with it… If everyone on the show could have it, then it wouldn’t be special anymore…

  • Nr9494

Rumplestiltzkin i am so, so disappointed. Evil stays evil. I mean i still love the character, but there must have been an easier way to get the bottle to our world. We will see is magic really power or will true love win again. And now how to survive until fall, damn you inventor of cliffhangers!!! Damn you!!!

  • http://forgiveyourmind.tumblr.com/ Tariq

I’m so absolutely excited to see how Emma will handle trying to beat Regina if Regina has her magic back.

But now she has all of Storybrooke to help her!

  • http://hypable.com Selina

I felt that they wasted the Belle/Rumpel reunion. It was too rushed and ended up being redundant because Rumpel was like lolz whatevs I want magic now. Should have saved it for next season.

    • dlskin

I totally agree, I expected him to have a better reaction to her remembering not saying there will be enough time for that later…what?  And it looked like he ended up helping Regina by bringing the magic back unless Gold/Rumpel will be on Emma’s side since he knows Regina locked up Belle…My mind is still reeling to be honest

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joey-Mangum/1820064015 Joey Mangum

Rumple seems to always be in it for himself…
“Belle can wait… I want my magic back first…”

        • http://laterz-SH.tumblr.com/ Sarah Songbird

Did anyone ever notice that it looked like Rumple and Belle were /going/ to kiss there for a moment? Like, I /know/ I’m not the only one who noticed that. My mom and I watched this whole series together, and that was the first thing that both of us pointed out. It looked like, for a moment, that the BEAST in Gold wanted to kiss Belle. He wanted to fall in love, and as we’ve seen before. True love’s kiss breaks any curse (in this show at least.) Wouldn’t that break the Rumpelstiltskin curse in him? I kind of ended up picturing it like the Hulk in the new Avengers movie, for lack of better analogy. Banner repeatedly calls the Hulk the “other guy.” What if it’s something like that? That the Rumpelstiltskin in Gold knew that if he kissed Belle he would be gone forever, so he triggered that part of Gold’s mind to push her away. I’m not sure if this really makes much sense to anyone but me, but I just felt the need to toss my idea out there, late though I may be!

    • stjff03

Definitely; I hardly felt any emotion there!

Although, I think the whole thing they did with that–making Rumpelstiltskin the Beast–was just weird. I looked it up on IMDb, and there’s a 20-year age difference between the two actors. It just feels kind of icky altogether.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joey-Mangum/1820064015 Joey Mangum

Well, if you take into account the customs and things practiced in the time period that Fairy Tale Land seems to be mimicking, it wasn’t uncommon for a 14 year old girl to marry a man nearly twice her age in that time period. It’s only icky to us, because we don’t do that as much anymore today…

    • Lauren

I agree. I love Belle and I think they would make an interesting couple but their reunion was lacking.

    • TieDye24

I think it was really in Rumpel’s character to bring the magic back first, before he took time to reunite with Belle, it was showing that he hasn’t really changed, that power was still more important to him. Also I was under the impression that Rumpel was kinda immortal, being the Dark One and all. I think the age difference in the actors is still a little wierd, but not the age difference in the charcters, since Rumpel is technically ageless.

I really liked this ep and can’t wait for next season. One thing I really would like to see is a relationship between Emma and Charming now that they know they are father and daughter. That has been bugging me all season, how Emma and MM are so close but her and David, even when they do talk, are like strangers. Also, yay for Charming and Snow finding one another but don’t you think one of them would have realized that their daughter was out there. I mean they both fought so hard for her and loved her so much as a baby and now they are all kissy face not even thinking about her? I know there wasn’t much time, but there was at least enough for Regina to make it home so I think that enough time to remember your kid and dying grandson. Maybe it’s just me. I generally try to avoid nit picking little things but I’d like to see some real parental love towards Emma now that the secrets out. I was disappointed with Rumple’s decision, (in a good way. I was disappointed in him, not the writing) I knew he wasn’t a good guy but I thought he might have grown, especially having Belle back. And they just teased us so much with the Huntsman and August! Now I want more of both! I really can’t wait for next season!!

    • http://hypable.com Selina

Yeah I agree with everything you said. Those things really bugged me as well… loved the episode but I was so disappointed about the Rumbelle reunion and the lack of an Emma/Snow/Charming revelation. Hopefully they don’t start next season with a time jump.

    • CK

I think the reason that there was only time for the Charming/Snow reunion rather than a whole family reunion was due to the fact that when the curse broke Charming was just on the edge of the town and had to turn around and drive back into town. That would explain why there was enough time for Regina to get home and only time for that one reunion. Also I think the producers might be trying to save the family reunion for next season. I know it is one of the things I am most looking forward to. That and seeing what happened to August.

  • Jessicakooyer

Did anyone notice Snow called Charming Jeremy after the curse was lifted?

    • Alexandrea

I think she said ‘Charming’ but in a bit of a breathless rush, so it sounded different.

  • dlskin

Is Graham really dead in Storybrooke?  The reason I’m wondering is because they thought Kathryn was dead and I think the heart really was hers but then she showed up…so is he just hanging out in the forest?  I may be totally wrong and someone at the hospital really did say it was Kathryn’s heart for Regina but I was under the impression that was a cover up

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joey-Mangum/1820064015 Joey Mangum

Well, the magic stopped the clock on 8:15 again, and I’m guessing reinstated the curse to it’s original state, minus everyone forgetting who they are… I’m wondering if that means everyone who died is alive again…

There are just too many variables right now… Magic is VERY unpredictable. And as we’ve learned by now, it always comes with a price. It could cause literally ANYTHING to happen…

  • Amanda

It was soooo unbelievably hard knowing I had to miss the season finale yesterday night due to our Mother’s Day dinner. I just knew I couldn’t go on hypable to read up on everything. BUT, just finished watching it JUST NOW, and I just can’t believe how great that episode was! But now, I’m just confused? Is Rumple good or bad?

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joey-Mangum/1820064015 Joey Mangum

I don’t think Rumple is on any team but “Team Rumple”… He kind of just does whatever suits his needs best… That doesn’t mean he’s not still a threat to Emma, though…. Or Regina either for that matter… He’s kind of like a third party who isn’t exactly neutral… He just plays for his own selfish desires.

  • http://www.eigakanthemovietheater.blogspot.com Jenny Leigh

This was the push I waited for all season! Now let the show begin :D Season 2 will be so interesting.

  • Kristen

”Rumplestiltskin….I remember…..I love you” – cheesiest/awkwardest line ever, especially cause he looks like her dad….

    • Swimmy

I agree. Because afterwards all they did was hug.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joey-Mangum/1820064015 Joey Mangum

I really didn’t want to see them kiss anyway… lol

I find their relationship to be COMPLETELY awkward…  >.<'

        • dobby the house elf

Really?  I think it is the best relationship of them all.  I thought it was super cute.

    • http://twitter.com/Super_Lulu1 Lupita

Yeah he looks like her dad but in the disney story The Beast was a Beast lol even worse

      • Johanna Garzón

Maybe now it’s called “Beauty and the Dinosaur” LOL

    • Skyler Leslie

      Agreed

  • Jason

Purple. Smoke. PURPLE. What does it do?!

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joey-Mangum/1820064015 Joey Mangum

It brings magic back to the people in Storybrooke who had it in Fairy Tale Land… At least, that’s what Rumple said… Granted, it clearly does something else, too… Why else would the clock have stopped?

      • Lilx3alexx

and at precisely 8:15, the same time it started in episode 1! Mind blown.

        • TieDye24

Wow good pick up, is Rumplestilskin trying to slow down Emma now that he has more power here in Storybrooke? I love how you can never tell exactly what side he is on, because he is on whatever side seams to benifit him at the moment. It is very in character. I feel like I want to punch the Mr. Gold in the face, but I still hope his relationship with Belle is reformed.

    • Skyler Leslie

Really. I thought of it more as a magenta……

  • Rose Red

Me 5 seconds after it went off ….” WHAT JUST HAPPENED HERE” … dies

  • http://twitter.com/NatashaPeartree Natasha Pereira

oh i hope this show didnt just jump the shark… something about this ep bugged me. maybe its stll aftershock of the tvd finale, or maybe it was that all of it was so rushed, or maybe that ive been DYING for a parents and daughter reunion, but idk… it just kinda bugged me… i think ill watch it agian.

    • http://www.eigakanthemovietheater.blogspot.com Jenny Leigh

I agree, it was a little rushed. She was so ready to believe so quickly. There had been only one episode before where they hinted that she could be believing (the end of the mad hatter episode). I think what all happened in the last episode should have been spanned out for the entire end half of the season. It should have been a gradual belief, not a sudden “Ok, Henry’s dying, time to believe now” type of event.

      • gmb

I agree… actually, i didnt like the episode very much at all. Emma touching the book and everything coming back to her, fighting the dragon, it all made me just roll my eyes. It didnt seem like the natural course of events..Im disappointed.

  • Mac-e-doodle

I’m betting that season two will be about them trying to get back to “fairy-tale land”

  • HermionGranger21

Did anyone else notice that down in asylum where belle was locked up, there was a door with S. Glass on it.  Is Sydney down there??

    • http://frankifoni.tumblr.com/ Frankie94

I saw that and I was like, “Glass, Glass, where do I know that name from?” then I remembered…Maybe Regina was keeping Katherine down there too…

    • Lauren

      Nice pick up!

  • Skyler Leslie

Okay will anyone please explain this very simply to me?? I’m so confusd. Sow hat about bringing magic back? And why did rumplestilskin go to the well if he knew what would happen?

    Thanks in advance

    • http://twitter.com/JujBres Julie Bresnahan

Rumple wanted to bring magic back so he could have power.

  • arielle_000

Why did Regina smile though when she saw the purple smoke?
