ABC renews ‘Happy Endings,’ NBC cancels Jason Isaac’s ‘Awake’

Happy Endings has been renewed for a third season by ABC. The US sitcom follows the lives of six close friends living in Chicago, and stars Elisha Cuthbert, Casey Wilson, Damon Wayans Jr, Eliza Coupe, Zachary Knighton and Adam Pally.

Meanwhile, former Harry Potter star Jason Isaacs’s Awake has been cancelled after just one season and despite rave reviews.

The American drama, about a detective who finds himself living out two realities, has continually struggled in the ratings for NBC.

Awake was good for the first couple episodes and then they started to get repetitive. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS THOUGH!!

Why are all my shows getting cancelled? First Terra Nova, then Alcatraz, then Ringer, and now Awake! Grr! At least I still have Once Upon a Time and all my BBC shows.

Love Happy Endings.

Awake was one of those shows that I would forget to watch when it was on TV, but got into when I watched it on Hulu. I did wonder how many seasons they would get out of it though.

The fault for Awake having bad ratings is it’s terrible time, day, and advertising. Thursday at 10? Should have been Tuesday at 9 when they don’t have anything interesting on.
