In a new interview, the Once Upon a Time showrunners Kitsis and Horowitz tease Sunday’s season finale “A Land Without Magic”!

Speaking to EW, Ed Kitsis and Adam Horowitz discuss what happened to Henry at the end of last week’s episode, and how it’ll affect Emma and Regina’s relationship:

Well, what we can say about it is they’re still enemies and at odds, but they now have found a common purpose throwing them together in the finale, and it’s an uneasy alliance. The antagonism between the two of them that started in the pilot continues to grow and boil in the finale.

They of course don’t reveal whether Henry will wake up, but they do offer this tease: “Magic is unpredictable in this world.”

They also address Regina’s dream where she saw the town gang up on her, and say:

It was definitely foreshadowing in the last episode, and I think that if you watch the finale and you go back, there will be a few things in there that will make people go, “Ahhh.”

In an interview with TV Line, they further tease how the season finale will leave us:

One of our goals with the finale is that at the end of it you say, “What the hell are they going to do next?” Our hope is that in those final moments, there is a combination of satisfaction and also intense surprise. The emotion you’ll be feeling is, “Holy, holy, holy s—t.”

“A Land Without Magic” airs Sunday at 8/7c on ABC. We can’t wait!

I am unbelievably excited to see how the curse plays out in all of this. I really hope that if Emma doesn’t believe, at least hopefully *some* character remembers who they are. It’s been too long since Graham did, and it’s about time someone else realizes what’s going on.

Didn’t David remember during his walks in the woods?

But not like Graham did, he thought he was still dreaming or something. It was more like you remember having a dream, instead of Graham’s realization that he used to be someone else in a completely different world.

Didn’t someone already say that the finale will include a death so shocking that you can’t imagine it will last? At this point, I think it’s obvious that Henry will die/will be perceived as dead by the end of the finale…

I would go as far to say that the curse will be broken by the end of the finale…and everyone goes back to the other world. Regina’s probably going to die. That is what no one will see coming. It would make you say, “What is going to happen how?” and…, well, that’s all I got. That’s my prediction.

what if it’s emma that dies… i mean they stated in the last episode that if she is killed the curse will be broken…
