Pixar’s Brave, due out in about a month, has been rated PG by the MPAA in the United States.

It was given the rating for “some scary action and rude humor.”

Interestingly, it’s only Pixar’s third film that’s been rated higher than G. The Incredibles and Up are the other two.

Brave will be released nationwide on June 22. See the latest trailer for the film over here.

MPAA did a huge mistake in giving Toy Story 3 a G

I don’t really see the point between having a G rating and a PG rating because it’s not like some five year old is going to go to the theatre by himself to see a movie.

      You’d be surprised then.

The “rude humor” component of the rating worries me, especially after seeing some crude jokes in trailers and previews. That designation is usually saved for bad DreamWorks sequels.

I think all the rude humor IS in the trailers

Actually I’d rather watch a PG animated film.  I don’t care for the rude humor, but PG can pack more excitement and action.
