‘Deathly Hallows – Part 2′ premieres this weekend on HBO

We know everyone has seen it, but it’s worth noting that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 is about to begin running endlessly on HBO.

The film’s first airing is this Saturday, May 12 at 8 p.m. Will you be watching it, or does your DVD/Blu-ray suffice? We do like being able to easily flip over to another channel to watch.

A trailer for the HBO premiere was released, which you can watch below (it’s somewhat new in that we haven’t seen a Potter trailer edited like this before):

Man, I was hoping for a little more time, I love seeing Part 1 on all the time, but it will be nice to see part 2 as well.

I’m surprised they have released it so quickly on HBO, which to my understanding (I live in the UK) isn’t a movie channel. You Americans should consider yourself lucky, for we just got Part 1 on Sky Movies Premiere.

  I think HBO had the rights to release it on TV before anyone else, but don’t quote me on that, I’m not 100% sure…

    It does. I remember reading that on Mugglenet last December when Half-Blood Prince premiered on ABC Family, people were confused as to why it had take so long and the reason was that HBO gets the rights to the Potter films on television first.
