May 1
– B.o.B returns with his sophomore album Strange Clouds, featuring collaborations with Taylor Swift, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj and Ryan Tedder among others.
– Blown Away is Carrie Underwood’s fourth studio album since winning American Idol in 2005 and features the single, “Good Girl.”
– Marilyn Manson’s eighth studio album, Born Villain, will include a collaboration with actor Johnny Depp.
May 15
– Adam Lambert follows up his first album For Your Entertainment with Trespassing, featuring the lead single, “Better Than I Know Myself,” and collaborations with Pharrell Williams and Bruno Mars.
May 22
– John Mayer may not be able to perform songs live due to a throat illness, but fans can enjoy the recorded versions in his fifth solo album, Born and Raised.
– Idol‘s season 8 winner Kris Allen will release his second album Thank You Camellia, with the lead single, “The Vision of Love.”
May 29
– Regina Spektor rounds off the month with her sixth album, What We Saw From the Cheap Seats, featuring the lead single, “All the Rowboats.”
