Pottermore Insider confirms work on ‘Chamber of Secrets’: ‘It’s looking great’

A few days ago we shared comments from Pottermore CEO Charlie Redmayne who said that the next books were due out in “a few weeks and months.”

We were surprised by the “few weeks” remark, given that Pottermore just opened publicly and we hadn’t heard a murmur about future Potter books being added this soon.

Now the Pottermore Insider has reconfirmed the news, simply saying:

We’re currently working on book two, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and it’s looking great. We’ll give you more information over the coming weeks, so keep an eye on the Insider and @Pottermore for the latest details.

In his speech at the London Book Fair, Redmayne said that many new features are in the works.

I’m so excited and Pottermore is great! I got sorted into Ravenclaw and I love it! I think we have back story’s on Lockhart, Dobby, and Myrtle. Can’t wait again!

Can’t wait for CoS, though I hope they don’t start adding a new book each month or so.. I want Pottermore to fill the Harry Potter void for atleast three years.. :-)

While I want it to last a while, I don’t want it to take too long. I mean, it has almost been a year since it opened, for BETA at least, and still only the first book . . . I can’t wait for the next books!

Yay, so exciting!! I hope there’s a some stuff on Lockhart and Myrtle. And teenage Hagrid!

I know this is not a popular opinion, but I really wouldn’t mind if Pottermore released a book a year… *hides* I actually missed the waiting. And I’m not ready to go through all the “it’s over” feelings again so soon. 2007 and 2011 were bad enough.
