Harry Potter fans have had mixed reactions to the Harry Potter Wizard’s Collection film set coming out in September.

Reasons include the fact that a lot of the included features are material we have seen before.

Nevertheless, Warner Bros. chugs on with the promotion, and this week released an interview with Wizard’s Collection‘s designers.

In the video below, they reveal that the box was directly influenced by the Skiving Snackboxes seen in the film (pictured above). They also state that this is the “final” box set — we’ll see.

They clearly put a lot of work into designing the look of this set and we’re sure fans will appreciate the detail!

This won’t be their final box set. We all know that despite what they say, they’re going to release another one in five years, then another one in ten years, and fifteen years…it will never end.

    • Ana

of course. if you listen to mugglecast… well, matt said it all.

what did he say?  there just fleecing us plain and simple it will go on and on and on and on until there is no more money to be made

I haven’t had the chance yet.

  • Heather

Still doesn’t explain the crazy high price tag.

well it explains alot your going to buy it regardless of the price tag

  • Craig Rogers

Im waiting for them to release 3D versions of all the films. Just wait!

All I want is Part 1 & 2 of Deathly Hallows to complete my collection of Blu-Ray Ultimate Editions. If they don’t release them this fan will be highly upset that I’ve invested in a set that’s incomplete.

they dont care they want your MONEY!

  • Andrew_ww

If they don’t release the last 2 ultimate editions that is false advertising and I want my money back.
Hoping they will be released this year…

    • Trixie99

I agree.  I have my money wrapped up in other things right now and I simply can’t justify spending that amount of money for this box set, especially considering over 90% of the material is just recycled from previous editions.  I already have it.  However, I would like to own the last two ultimate editions… since I already bought the first six.  If they don’t release the last 2 ultimate editions, I guess I will just save my money then… watch the documentaries online.

       Do you think WB cares?

  • Josh Forman

Adjective:Being or happening at the end of a process; final: “their ultimate aim was to force his resignation”.

I guess the dictionary is wrong.

The only thing I like about this box set is the collectible stuff that comes in it. Other than that, whatever. I would like it a lot more had all the films had extended versions. Hell, I still want Deathly Hallows Ultimate Editions. I’ll lose my mind if I have an incomplete set like that.

I say forget it!  its a marketing gimmick! They know if your a harry Potter fan your going to buy it!! with that outragous price tag!

  • krislintz

If I buy this, I would have 4-5 versions of every movie, which is simply outrageous. I cannot buy this, and the ultimate editions (which I prefer, TBH).

  • Slytherinhero01

Hmm I still have very mixed feelings about this box set. As nice as it is, the price tag is still ridiculous, not to mention most of the footage is stuff we’ve already seen (with a few exclusive interviews here and there which will eventually make it’s way to Youtube anyway). Now if you could somehow buy the box by itself and make it a reasonable price, I’d actually consider buying it. But as it is now I think I’ll pass on this and worry more on hoping they’ll come out with the last Ultimate edition Blu-Rays

  • TheRiddler

hmmm… they changed the name of it from the “definitive collection” to the “wizard collection”. All i want is Deathly Hallows part 1 and 2 ultimate editions. Please Warner Brothers….

  • A.P.W.B.Dumbledore

I wish I could afford it, I dont have any ultimate editions or the SS dvd.If it was about $100-$150 then I could save up for it but not when it is over $300. Like a lot of fans who grew up with the book I am going to college (although a lot more are in college) and I cant afford a box a movies that will be outdated in a year.

  • Isak

FINAL? Please. Warner Bros, us Harry Potter are not muggle simpletons.
If this is the final Harry Potter set, then my name is Tarzan and I live in the jungle.

  • http://twitter.com/MowTheFrontLawn Juan Pedia

The final box set?!  It better include all the deleted scenes WB’s been hoarding from us (and, for those who don’t know, the deleted scenes released so far are only a fraction of what was actually cut from the series).

  • http://twitter.com/NatashaPeartree Natasha Pereira

well im gunna buy it, not happy about the price and DVDs/Blurays are kind of outdated bc everthing is on itunes/netflix/etc, but its a piece of memorablilia. im clearly falling right into their marketing trap.

    • Andrew_ww

Until there is unlimited, high speed bandwitdh from any single place in the world video streaming is never going to take over. Bluray is much better quality too. DVDs are outdated for sure.
