The music from the upcoming sure-to-be-dramatic episode of Glee, titled “Choke,” has surfaced via the music’s album art! Find out which songs will be featured! [spoilers ahead]

According to this tumblr, the following album art is for episode 3×18 “Choke.”

We are still trying to recover from the fact that Glee will be doing “Cell Block Tango!” Here are the presumed original artists behind the songs:

“Shake It Out” – Florence and the Machine
“School’s Out” – Alice Cooper
“Cell Block Tango” – from the musical “Chicago”
“Not The Boy Next Door” – from the musical “The Boy from Oz”
“Cry” – There are several songs with this title by huge pop stars Kelly Clarkson, Rihanna, Mandy Moore (is she still popular?), Faith Hill, Rihanna, James Blunt, Jay Sean and of course Michael Jackson. The lyrics to the Michael Jackson song seem most befitting to what appears to be a dramatic story line.
“The Rain In Spain” – from the musical “My Fair Lady”

For those of you who follow Hypable’s Glee Chat podcast, this was a song that Mitch had mentioned several months ago that he would hope Glee would do! Are you listening to us, Fox!?

What are your thoughts about the music? We’ll leave this amazing GIF of the girls doing “Cell Block Tango” below for your hype and enjoyment:

Cell Block Tango! *falls over and dies*

    • Alice

They better not mess it up.

    I can’t wait for CBT…

And they are finally giving Tina a song..
    This episode is promising…

  • Jess

I would take this with a huge grain of salt. Don’t believe anything posted on tumblr (or any other site) until it comes from an official source.

    • http://hypable.com John Thrasher

The covers look real. I’ve been inspecting them for over a year now to make sure if we post them on the site ahead of time that they’re similar and these seem on par with our previous posts. Though yes, this is not an official listing.

  • Isistelle

OMG!!!!!! Like if you’re stunned because Glee spoof did the Cell Block Tango in their last video!! Can this be possible ? They took it from Glee spoof??

  • Gary65

Well this is an oddity unto itself :-/

  • Isistelle

Girls look OUTSTANDING. But obviously Quinn won’t be in a wheelchair anymore if she’s part of CBT…

    • Enelya

Depends……..like in season one when she was pregnant, if you watch closly when they went into the more ‘fantasy’ full costume big numbers, she wouldn’t have her bump anymore.  So she very well could still be in the chair but not during the number.

  • ahhhhyea

if santana isn’t velma i will cut a bitch.

Cry prob by Kelly Clarkson cuz Lea did tweet saying she recorded  Kelly Clarkson song for this ep

  • Dudley

Glee’s going to do Cell Block Tango? My dreams have come true! (and I don’t even watch Glee.)

  • Elle

…OMG Glee you rock. I love that song and I can’t wait to see the girls perform this!! (Cellblock Tango)

  • Gary65

-_- They look like a drowning victim, a madame, a tattoo artist, a model, a member of a girl band and a call girl.

  • Aliwichrowski

Roxie- Brittany Velma- Santanna. They have to pair these 2 in the song, that would make it more like a dream. If they write in roxie in, the song. And Rachel, Quinn, Tina, Mercendes. Can be the other members, of the song. The rain in Spain- could be sung, by Mercendes, or Kurt. And let Rachel be, she does not need every song. Every time but by the end, she could end the season. With many songs, she can get. Cause she coming back for season 4.

  • SeanV22

“Shake It Out”… This is the first time SMASH beat ya to it, Glee. We’ll see whose cover is better. Also, I’ve been wanting more songs from CHICAGO; CBT is gonna be awesome!

  • Daughter of Eve

NOOO!!! Glee is going to RUIN Florence + the Machine’s “Shake it Out”. When they did “Dog Days” it was barely all right. Flo’s songs have a depth that Glee certainly does not cover in songs, unless it’s show tunes.

  • CliveRogan

I’m mildly concerned how Cell Block Tango will fit into the episode.  The song’s about women killing their husbands.  Seems wildly inapropriate for an episode dealing with domestic violence.

    • Andy

Well, they sang “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” on the same episode as a kid tried to kill himself, so I’m not to surprised. Sometimes they lack any amount of subtlety or sensitivity in their song choices.

    • http://hypable.com John Thrasher

I suspect it will be something like Cooter went to jail for domestic abuse against Beiste.

      • Andy

omg what if Bieste sings Cell Block Tango. . .

  • http://about.me/dshana Shana Debusschere

I’m really looking forward to the Cell Block Tango! I hope they take it to the stage, they probably will. If they make Tango a hallway performance, I’m going to cry!

  • ThursdayNext

They better not ruin “The Rain in Spain”, it’s not an overly musical piece as it is an acting piece. the singer doesn’t have to sing too high, but the key part is the acting. So I am hoping Emma or Quinn sings it. I don’t think Rachel can sing that kind of Broadway music.

    • Andy

. . . . . you don’t think that Lea Michele can sing Broadway music?

    • gleeky-potterhead

She was *in* Spring Awakening, for Pete’s sake.
      And she was supermegafoxyawesomehot

  • Trel

  • Burford

I really hope they don’t ruin ‘Shake It Out’. It’s my absolute favourite song, and I’m not sure if Glee can reproduce Flo’s emotional attachment to the song. :/

    • http://hypable.com John Thrasher

      Have you heard Smash’s version?

      • Daughter of Eve

I did, and that version lacks emotional depth too.

  • http://marimbaimba.tumblr.com/ caps lock is for the weak

if they mess up shake it out i’ll be so annoyed. i hated dog days…

  • http://hypable.com John Thrasher

By the way…this will mark the first song that both Glee AND Smash have done… I think.

Shake It Out, if it’s the Florence and the Machine version was done on Smash.

    • FlightStorm

Not the first. They both did “Rumour Has It” if I recall. :D

      • http://hypable.com John Thrasher

Yes! THough does that count since the Glee version was actually a mash up?

    • Isistelle

No they also both did It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World and I am beautiful

  • rdh014

Well let’s hope they don’t ruin my favorite song from my personal favorite musical.

  • Cbarra97

I think Cry is the Kelly Clarkson one- Lea Michele talked about doing a Clarkson cover a few weeks ago

    • Andy

Yes. She tweeted “@kelly_clarkson you are such an incredible singer. Had the honor of recording one of your songs today.. It wasn’t easy but so fun!!!”  and two days later Kelly’s “musical director/producer/co-writer” Jason Halbert tweeted ““I’m so excited about this upcoming Glee episode I could just Cry.”
So very likely it is that one.

  • http://twitter.com/ThoughtsofaNerd Sarah Hay

If ‘Cell Block Tango’ is anything like it was on the Glee Sims Spoofs, I will be happy.

    • Isistelle

Ah! I thought I was the only one who watched the Glee Spoofs…

  • Prettyfairy1996

  • Isistelle

Kurt is doing the CBT?? Did you guys got that news? That seems weird… He can’t sing it alone…

    • Gary65

No he’s not. Do you see Kurt up there?

      • Isistelle

         mistake of wikipedia sorry!
