You may have seen Tonner create dolls based on the Harry Potter and Twilight films. Now they’ll be releasing ones for The Hunger Games.

From the press release:

The Hunger Games TONNER CHARACTER FIGURES™ will range from 16″-17″ tall with multiple articulated joints for expressive poses and mobility. In keeping with the fine detail and high-end quality of Tonner’s other popular product lines, they will feature hand-painted facial features, and high quality Saran hair.

Robert Tonner, CEO and acclaimed doll artist, will be overseeing the creation of the unique figures, which will be made to a ¼ scale. With authentic costuming based on actual costume samples from the film that were provided by the production, no detail will be overlooked, and the dolls will be sure to satisfy even the most attentive fans.

No dolls have been unveiled yet, but we’ll be sure to share them when they are. You can see a Potter and Twilight doll below to get an idea of their style:

Meh. I’m not surprised. They always milk the big franchises for every penny they can.

Also, Andrew, this is listed under TV news rather than Hunger Games news. Not to nitpick, but it should probably be changed so it shows up on the right feeds. :)

Can we get a beat-up-but-still-fighting-the-system Katniss doll?
What about Prim with her goat and the cat? Or Rue up in a tree? Or Peeta in his baker clothes with a little burnt loaf or disguised as a rock? They could make a line just for Effie’s costumes!
