Hot on the heels of last night’s “Saturday Night Glee-ver” episode of Glee are 3 new stills from 3×18 “Choke,” which is scheduled to air in 2 weeks.

An updated and more thorough description of episode 3×18 has made its way online via Gleezone:

As Rachel and Kurt prepare for their all-important NYADA auditions, they get news that could send all their well-laid plans into a tailspin. The subject of domestic violence comes to the forefront when one of McKinley’s own admits to being in an abusive relationship; while students and teachers are stunned by the revelation, they rally to show their support. When one of Puck’s schemes backfires, Finn and the guys stage an intervention to prevent their friend from making a terrible mistake. Meanwhile, Puck’s eyes are opened by an unexpected source, spurring him to take greater control of his destiny… but it may already be too late.

Check out the 3 stills from the upcoming episode below:

What are your thoughts about the description and the photos? It all looks kind of intense to us!

  • Mia

Wow! I’m really looking forward to this episode. It sounds very good!

  • Alexacadia

It would make the most sense for the one in the abusive relationship to be Beiste, I think… I’m assuming it would be an adult, since the only relationship that’s ever explored in a negative way is Finchel, and Will and Emma have never had indicators of abuse…. and I’m going to cry like a bitch if it is Beiste.
And although I’ve never really grown to like Tina, it’s exciting that they’re letting Jenna do Phantom!

    • CliveRogan

I’d forgotten Beiste even existed, where’s she been?  But I’d have to agree that she seems the most likely.  Most people are in relationships with people we know and I can’t see Glee making one of the main cast an abuser.

I don’t know why I didn’t realize it was Phantom, at first – it’s so obvous! For some reason, my first reaction was, “When Doves Cry” by Prince… haha…

  • Isistelle

Okay, it HAS to be Kurt on that stage, because Blaine has an amazing loving look and he’s obviously looking someone on the stage…

  • Madge.

I’m excited for the episode, but I am definitely not excited if they go the Phantom route.  Don’t get me wrong, I love Jenna and I’m dying to see her sing more (and SPEAK!) as well as see the show do more Broadway, but I do not want Glee to do Phantom of the Opera–no one in the cast has the vocal ability to sing the parts of Christine or the Phantom.

As far as the domestic violence storyline goes, I’m sadly thinking it might be Bieste or Blaine (as some sort of further backstory-builder, in his case), it could possibly tie in the line from the episode when he said “it means I’m not for sale” or something along those lines.  But, who knows, it could be Puck.

  • Andy

I think it would be too dark if Glee went this way but it could possibly be Will. I still get chills watching the scene where he finds out Terri wasn’t pregnant and he nearly loses it, so they might elaborate on that but I think that would stir the pot too much given the close relationship he has with all the students. “Abusive relationship” definitely makes it sound like romantic partners rather than a parent, as a lot had speculated it might be Puck’s dad. I agree with everyone that it might be Bieste, that way they can address the issue and fully flesh it out without there being too many repercussions on the rest of the storylines and the season.
As for the news Rachel and Kurt get, maybe they are told (or at least get the impression) that only one will get a spot. I feel like they would definitely be helping each other prepare their auditions, but that news would re-engage their earlier competition with each other. And if “Choke” does refer to the auditions, one of them chokes or intentionally blows their audition so that the other will get in. In any case this looks like an interesting episode! I haven’t heard what songs are supposed to be in it, that might help trying to figure out what’s going on.

    • Alyssa

I can’t imagine Emma abusing Will, or Will cheating on Emma.

Remember in one of the earlier seasons when Kurt blew the note and Rachel got the song? (although Kurt blew it for his Dad’s sake) Your theory reminds me of that in a way.

  • Aart223

I am 99.9% sure its Blaine.

    • Ray Wriston

       Hahaha, this cracked me up!

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/SirDorkusProductions Dillon

I honestly have no idea whats going to happen.

  • Dobby

Lol it can’t be true! Blaine isn’t wearing a bow tie?

    • Lillypuss

i think he stopped letting Kurt dress him. they are having problems you know

  • Lbrandom18

Maybe it’s just a random student as opposed to a glee clubber.

  • Jnthn44

2 weeks? what happened to 8 episodes in a row?

    • Kate

Choke will be 3×18. We have the Whitney Houston one (3×17) first. So it’ll still be 8 eps in a row.

      • Jnthn44

        lol UGH derp moment

  • Hp-Glee-Hunger-Games-Fan

I think it will be Coach Beiste. Dot Marie Jones has said that she will be in this episode, and when someone asked her on twitter how Beiste and Cooter’s relationship was going, she said they we’d see in episdoe 18.

Also, what’s going on with Tina in the last picture? It kind of reminds me of when Figgins thought she was a vampire.

    • Hp-Glee-Hunger-Games-Fan

Never mind. Not sure how I didn’t realize it was Phantom of the Opera….

      • Cbarra97

S’okay i didnt either and i actually saw the show… but her dress throws me off

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joey-Mangum/1820064015 Joey Mangum

It could be Tina and Mike’s relationship that’s the violent one… I mean, we don’t really have much insight into the whole situation…

  • Alyssa

Could Figgins be the one in an abusive relationship? Just thinking out loud here.

  • Saskia17

Initially I thought Blaine and that whole sort of potential back story, but since there have been comments that he sort of takes a back seat from here on for the rest of the episode – i’m thinking it may be Beiste like a few others suggested.

  • gleeky-potterhead

My friend told me that a Glee Spoiler website said that part of the cast (I can’t remember who. I think it might be Tina, Rachel, Kurt, and someone else) will be performing Next to Normal’s song ‘Light’.

  • Joe

OMG! Tina is finally getting a song!!!…. And more importantly a recurring storyline!!!
Finally, Ryan Murphy is starting to think about character development in the scripts!

  • Jen

It’s pretty bold, not giving Tina a song ever and then giving her Phantom of the Opera. Being a huge fan of the musical myself, she’d better nail it.

  • Aliwichrowski

I viewing this, in the students perspective. If the violence, is coming from a students relationship with someone It would have been, Puck or Blaine’s relationships with. Their dads. If they both are coming on. This reminds me of the unsrcupted version, of the Phnatom of the opera. Like someone who would take someone, and perform domestic violence. In some way, in song. Like the phantom did, with Christine. Then fell in love. It’s PRETTY BOLD. In the orginal the phantom, did take christine by gabbing her. Against her will.
