For those of you who are history dorks, this is a cool piece of news!
The Kennedy Detail, a book written by former secret-service agent Gerald Blaine, will be adapted into a film for a late 2013 release. The release date will coincide with the date of JFK’s assassination, November 22, 1963.
Deadline writes:
Blaine’s 2010 book, written with Lisa McCubbin, tells the tale of JFK’s presidency from the perspective of the men who guarded his life while in office and on that day in Dallas.
Discovery created a documentary of the book in 2010, but now it will be made into a feature film by Atchity Entertainment and Ramos and Sparks Group.
What do you think of this film adaptation? Are you glad JFK will be remembered by this film, or do you think this is another way for Hollywood to make money?
