        Well, it’s still pretty new…

    • Selina Izabella

No, we were holding it back because we haven’t done the podcast format for it (notice it’s just a regular post), but I realised we wouldn’t be able to do that before the next episode.

I really enjoyed this podcast, guys. And Selina in Bath with R. R. Martin ;-)

It’s to many errors for my likeing, but this is about the show not the books so i guess it’s alright.

    Hey guys,

Melisandre and Stannis sleeping is implied in the book. I do not want to say much  about it because it has spoilers. Many people did not catch it but it is implied. :-)

And as a fan of the books and then the TV series it is interesting to listen to thoughts of someone who have not read the books.

I wish you all wanted to read the books cause they are great.

Keep up the good work :-)

Micah and I have read all the books (though again, it’s been a while since Clash for both of us so we do forget some things). I do agree that it’s vaguely implied that they do SOMETHING which allows Melisandre to do what she does later, but I still maintain that the whole point of Stannis’ character is his rigid, stubborn honour. If they do sleep together in the book, I don’t think it would ever be because of lust of because she promised him a son, I think it’d only be as part of a ritual, you know?

      • ladybirds

Yes, I agree with you on Stannis sleeping with Melisandre was not for having a son. I am sure he knew what we knew will happen in later episodes. :-)

…and that theme music at the end of the episode with guitars, I guess, is awesome. :-)

And the killing of Robert’s bastard baby was Cersei’s doing in the books not Geoffrey’s. I never felt sorry for Cersei. She is aaaa… very bad person.
