‘Walking Dead’ season 2 cast member gets promoted to series regular for season 3

One member of The Walking Dead cast who came on board in season 2 will is being promoted to series regular for season 3!

The actress is Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie. She was a love interest of Glenn in season 2, and that looks highly likely to continue now.

Filming for The Walking Dead season 3 begins in a couple months, and the show is expected to premiere in October.

Since Maggie is a main staple with Glenn (eventually getting married in the Prison) in the book this should be no surprise. The bigger surprise was killing Dale who, in the book, is Andrea is deep love interest. Dale and Andrea go deep into the book.

Also, another interesting question. One of the books main characters is Tyreese a big african american dude. So why is he not on the series. There is no T-dog in the book and his character is really weak.

  Maybe they’ll meet Tyreese along the way or something. I quite agree, T-Dog hasn’t really got character development. The only thing that’s keeping his existence is his miraculous luck.
