NBC will be releasing The Music of Smash on May 1 – a 13-song soundtrack, including tracks from Ryan Tedder and Nick Jonas.

As Zap2It points out, the album’s Amazon listing reveals that songs from Marilyn the Musical and covers performed during the season will be included. Right now, only some Smash covers are available for purchase. Check out the full track list below.

1. Touch Me
2. Stand
3. Who You Are
4. Crazy
5. Beautiful
6. Haven’t Met You Yet
7. Shake It Out
8. Brighter Than the Sun
9. Let Me Be Your Star
10. The 20th Century Fox Mambo
11. Mr. & Mrs. Smith
12. Let’s Be Bad
13. History Is Made at Night

The Music of Smash is available for pre-order on Amazon. Will you be purchasing the soundtrack?

The only ones I really want are Brighter Than the Sun and the Marilyn songs. I’m not if it’s worth buying the entire soundtrack.

iTunes! You can buy songs individually. That’s what I did throughout the show. If I heard one I liked, I’d go buy it. (:

I said it on the podcast, and I’ll say it again: it’s really dumb for them not to release the singles from each week’s episode. Money lost.

I don’t know about iTunes, but ZUNE Marketplace (for Zune Player and Windows Phone) has at least 11 tracks (singles) from the show available for streaming and purchase. Titles include:

    1) A Song For You,
    2) Beautiful,
    3) Call Me,
    4) Crazy Dreams,
    5) Haven’t Met You Yet,
    6) I Never Met A Wolf Who Didn’t Love To Howl,
    7) Let Me Be Your Star,
    8) The 20th Century Fox Mambo,
    9) The National Pastime,
    10) A Song For You
    11) It’s A Man’s World

All are currently available…but it’s not easy to find. They are all listed under the artist name, SMASH Cast. I also found 10 of these tracks on SPOTIFY, and a few with a cursory search on itunes reveals many of the same PLUS, a recording of “Let’s Be Bad.”

While not every song has been made available, several are out there if you know where to look.

I honestly don’t care for the covers; all I really want is a soundtrack of solely originals
