As our review clearly shows, we’re major fans of The Muppets here at Hypable. Because of that, we’re pleased to report that the Blu-ray “Wocka Wocka” edition of the film is befitting of the fantastic film it represents!

Here’s an excerpt from our review of the film itself:

As a Hollywood production, The Muppets embodies all that is truly great about childhood, as it represents innocence, joy and pure-hearted fun that isn’t weighed down by an industry that has seemingly abandoned its values in order to make a profit. It is therefore ironic that a return to these values comes in the form of The Muppets, one of the most successful and iconic trademarks of all-time from the industry giant that is Disney.

The Blu-Ray transfer of the film is pitch-perfect, with great picture and sound quality. As a pleasant surprise, whenever the film is paused, the whole Muppets gang performs, instead of just leaving a static screen image. With this release, there’s never a dull moment!

The special features are equally as enjoyable. The extended blooper reel is fantastic and earns its name, “The Longest Blooper Reel Ever Made (In Muppet History––We Think).” The behind-the-scenes glimpses are very playful, often featuring the Muppets more prominently than the humans who (partially?) made the film.

Any fan of the film will want to pick up this “Wocka Wocka” Blu-Ray edition to share with the whole family! The Muppets never fails to entertain, whether it’s the actual film or the bevy of special features and deleted/extended scenes!

The Muppets is currently available on blu-ray and DVD.

My family got it from my aunt and my younger siblings have been watching it constantly.

I haven’t watched the bonus features yet, but the movie was great!  How can you not love the Muppets?!?  And PS:  I totally want 80′s Robot

I LOVED the audio commentary. It was really interesting to hear what it was like working with the Muppets as puppets [as opposed to treating them like actors]. I wish there were more behind-the-scenes footage like that, because as much as I love considering Kermit et al real people, I’m also really fascinated by their mechanics.

Today was payday so I’ll finally be able to buy this. I’m sad that I wasn’t able to pick up the metal case in Best Buy, but when you’re broke, you’re broke.
