Max Landis to pen ‘Chronicle’ sequel

Briefly: It’s been just over a month since director Josh Trank and screenwriter Max Landis took Hollywood by storm with their low-budget, found-footage film Chronicle, which managed to gross over $100 million on a tiny budget with no big talent attached. Now news has arisen that Landis will pen a sequel to the film for Fox.

This news coming via Deadline. Not much else is known on the project at this time, although we can assume Fox will want a quick turnaround on the project, considering the success of Chronicle.

I’d much rather see a sequel to The Death and Return of Superman.

All seriousness aside, this guy seems like a huge comic buff. I’d love to see him pen something big like Green Lantern or Justice League.

replicating unsuspecting success stories is far harder than it looks, but I thoroughly enjoyed Chronicle so I would definitely hope they can pull it off!
