Last night’s 84th Annual Academy Awards, hosted by Billy Crystal, were up from last year by 4%.
The official rating for 2012 was 25.5/38, which is up from last year’s rating of 24.5/37. The numbers are determined by household – for every 38 households televisions on between 8:30pm – 11:24pm EST, 25.5 of them were tuned into the Academy Awards.
Deadline also reports:
Among adults 18-49, the Oscars delivered a 14.3 rating in Nielsen’s Local People Meter markets, on par with last year’s 14.4 despite having a host host, Billy Crystal, whose age was the ages of last year’s co-hosts James Franco and Anne Hathaway combined.
