Fans who have heard the contrary about the status of Kickass 2 can now take it up with Mark Millar, the man who wrote the series of graphic novels, who claims that production is slated to begin this Summer.
Words have been few and far between concerning the sequel to Michael Vaughn’s fan favorite film adaptation of Kick-Ass, but now we have a few thanks to The Daily Record (via TotalFilm).
Mark Millar, author of the Kick-Ass graphic novels had this brief word to say about Kick-Ass 2 before moving on to talk about a different project.
Millar is the man who penned the Kick-Ass comic books, and so is well placed to give an update on the film. “We shoot Kick-Ass 2 and American Jesus this summer,” he told the newspaper, before going on to elaborate on the latter project.
Matthew Vaughn the director of the original and the more recent X-Men:First Class has yet to sign on for the project, although at the moment it seems that Vaughn has set his sights on bigger horizons.
What do you think? Even with this confirmation, does a sequel seem likely? Will Kick-Ass 2 return with the same cast?
