Kids Choice Awards 2012 nominees announced, ‘Potter’, ‘Twilight’, ‘Hunger Games’ competing in Best Book category

Today Nickelodeon announced the nominees for this year’s Kids Choice Awards, and several fandoms that we cover were nominated!

In our opinion, post interesting is the Best Book category which pits the Harry Potter, Twilight, Hunger Games, and Diaries of a Wimpy Kid series’ against each other.

Tim Allen, Ty Burrell, Alex Heartman, and Jake Short are competing in the TV Actor category. TV Actress pits Miranda Cosgrove, Selena Gomez, Victoria Justice, and Bridgit Mendler against each other.

Harry Potter should obviously win. Twilight or Hunger Games are not that good enough to win. Although I’m too not sure why they didn’t put books from the past year for nominations. If Potter doesn’t win, Diary of a Wimpy Kid should. :)

I feel like none should be nominated considering they haven’t had new books for either of the three series in the past year.

That said, while I love The Hunger Games, Potter will always have a special place in my heart and I’d be much happier if they won the award than THG. As for Twilight, IMO, that series shouldn’t even be placed in the same catagory as the other two which are just written *so* much better.

The Hunger Games are admittedly a good read but not good enough to win… not with Harry Potter as their rival.
as for Twilight… thats out of the question :P nah, the books were alright but I feel that it lacks a decent plot and should definitely not be in a ’Kids’ awards show :S ! but im sure alot of people would be rooting for that anyway…

Ugh…a “Choice Award”. You guys know what this means right?My obvious choice would be Harry Potter and Hunger Games gives good competition. But there’s a huge chance that twihards will make sure they win. In any case, I think the winner will reflect our society as a whole. If Twilight wins we are leaning more towards the “Hunger Games” society than is tasteful. If any other series wins, I think we’re in the safe “Harry Potter-esque” society. Now, what would you like?

Y’all are being a bit dramatic here, don’t you think? I mean yes, Twilight wins usually when it comes to mtv awards and stuff like that, HP is by far epic-est(if that’s a word) and Hunger Games is truly wondrous, but that Diary of a wimpy kid series has ruled these awards for the past 2-4 years or so. These are the KID’S choice awards anyway, so it’s not like anyone should take them ‘too’ seriously. It’s not like saying, “WHAT THE HELL???? WHY IS ALAN RICKMAN NOT NOMINATED FOR AN OSCAR????” Now that should be causing some rampages in the streets, not some kids who are too young to not have even been born when HP first release or possibly even understand the actual themes of Hunger Games.

Harry Potter hands down! If Hunger Games wins I will be okay. Twilight is totally not the best book. Then the fourth option was Diary of Wimpy Kid which can win because it’s a KIDS choice award but I vote Harry Potter. if not win Hunger Games and if not Hunger Games then it will be Diary of a Wimpy Kid Twilight is not even on my list.

Let’s get together and vote everything HP. I mean, the categories of movie, actor and actress; that is the last time they will be nominated so please let’s give them a chance. As for the books, HP should definitely win. Hunger Games was AMAZING, but HP is far better and more “complete”, I mean, 7 books is a lot, Hunger Games only has 3. So remember, EVERYTHING HARRY POTTER. Twilight sucks.
