While we patiently await the arrival of The City of Lost Souls and Clockwork Princess, Cassie Clare is giving hints about her newest series The Dark Artifices. While The Dark Artifices hasn’t been written yet, there is plenty of speculation to go around.

From Cassie Clare:

The newest information was about Emma’s last name which was revealed to be Carstairs.  Wonder how she is related to Jem?

What are you hoping for in The Dark Artifices?

Clockwork Prince is already out, were waiting for Clockwork Princess…just a small correction.

although i love her stories, i find them a little predictable. like i can guess wats going to happen 2 chapters away, her foreshadowing is a little to obvious. dont get me wrong the books are amazing and are very dificult to put down, just kinda annoying at times when the characters are oblivious to the obvious

Her books are my absolute favorite, but she needs to know when to stop.  This storyline is becoming overkill.

It’s not overkill if it’s a different storyline. Just because we are still following the premise doesn’t mean it’s the same story. TMI and Infernal Devices are both about shadowhunters, but the two series are very different.

Can’t wait as always :) Really more interested in the conclusion in the Clockwork series, though.

I’m really surprised that she’s got enough ideas for a third series. Don’t get me wrong, I am very excited about this, and i really like that she is using the same world but with different generations, it’s cool to pick up on the little tidbits she throws in there. Are there many authors out there who write a prequel AND a sequel to their original series? I can’t think of any others, it must be rather daunting and quite an undertaking to come up with similar yet stand-alone storylines.

Glads to know the Carstairs lineage is still up. Hope the Herondale lineage will continue also
