Listen to performance of ‘Tomorrow Will Be Kinder’ by The Secret Sisters for ‘The Hunger Games’ soundtrack

About a month ago we told you that female duo The Secret Sisters were to contribute a song to The Hunger Games soundtrack called Tomorrow Will Be Kinder.

They’ve since performed the song at one of their concerts, and you can listen to it now for the first time!

An attendee recorded the performance, which you can watch below. It’s a beautiful and emotional song inspired by disastrous tornados that wrecked havoc in April of last year.

The soundtrack is due to hit store shelves March 20th. Other known artists on the compilation include Taylor Swift and The Decemberists.

These songs are all great, but I’m also hoping for some songs in the soundtrack that are more fastpaced too. All these songs are beautiful, but I’m not sure I want the soundtrack to be just beautiful. It also has to feel dangerous. And, right now, I don’t feel like that’s going to happen… hmpph.

While I have no idea the name of the song –it was out early last year–I have always thought of it as the ultimate Hunger Games song.

The lyrics include something about “calavade” and “people take the power back”.

It just always sounded to me like it caught the feeling of the entire story, especially the second and third books.

I also tend to place Madonna’s “Take A Bow” as a lament by Lastrade from Queen of the Damned (book). Probably cause they were released nearly at the same time.

This is freaking amazing. Even if I don’t see the movie, I’m definitely buying the soundtrack. I’m loving all of the folksy songs :)

i can almost picture this, were it in the movie, being during the last scene with katniss screaming through the glass. it would be a sort of slow motion, silent, very dramatic but almost lyrical moment. peeta being carried by her and her pounding on the glass. or i’m just getting too into the hollywood of it :)

I was thinking more of when Katniss and Peeta are waiting for the mutts to kill Cato. That’s if the play any of the soundtrack in the film anyway…

oh that too, yeah. but i doubt they’ll use soundtrack songs. i kind of hope they don’t actually. the greatest movies are just with strong composed music

Beautiful song! Oh, no! I expect many of the younger crowd aren’t going to be happy, though, if the rest of the songs are as folksy and countrified as the first two are.

Actally, I am 17 and I love the direction the music for this movie is going in. Then again, I am a soundtrack geek and may be the only one of the “younger crowd” to like it, but I love all of the music that has been released. At least so far. :)

I completely agree! I love the music so far, and I’m 13 (but, then again, I’ve always had an ‘odd’ taste in music, according to my friends).
