We reported yesterday that there were rumours of Rachel Miner’s return to Supernatural, and now it’s been confirmed!

Rachel Miner of course plays Meg 2.0 on Supernatural, and TV Line speculates that she returns to help out Castiel (as Misha Collins also returns this season). What’s your theory?

Looks like she’ll be back in 7.17 which is when things are going to hit the fan, so it should be a whirlwind of awesome. So excited.

Supernatural is really pushing things to the limit. Love the show but if you are going to kill a character off or make them evil dont make them come back to life or magically switch sides. Last we saw she was helping Lucifer now she is going to be a good demon…. that never works out. Its becoming annoying. And if they bring back Bobby i will be pissed, i was so upset when he died but bringing him back will just give me emotional issues if they dont stop playing around with these characters. They desperately need new, long term people.

We have no idea what form she’s going to return in, so judging that before we know any details about it is jumping the gun (and Sera Gamble has said there is no such thing as a good demon; Ruby was the one instance of exploring that possibility and look how she turned out). And the last we saw of Meg, she was actually helping Sam and Dean and Cas to get at Crowley–though of course, it turned out Cas and Crowley were working together, but still. We also don’t know how Cas is going to return, so… I find it best not to make real judgments until the season in its entirety has aired. You can lose a lot otherwise.
