‘Amazing Spider-Man’ director Marc Webb reveals when to expect next trailer

We weren’t expecting to see another official glimpse at The Amazing Spider-Man quite yet. Didn’t they just release a trailer? Hold on, wasn’t there just a whole other trilogy of movies? All joking aside, the new trailer is due to hit sooner than you would think!

In an interview with Collider (via CBM), director Marc Webb revealed that a new Amazing Spider-Man trailer is on the horizon.

From Collider:

When can we expect to see a new trailer?
“Soon. Within the next month.”

And now, a RUMOR is coming from RAMAScreen (via CBM) claiming that the new trailer will have a February 9th online release followed by a theatrical release with The Vow and Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.

So what do you think? Will the next trailer be attached to those films? Will we see the trailer later in February?

I think the timing could be right, but wouldn’t it make more sense to release the trailer with “Chronicle” [coming out on February 3rd], since that’s also a movie about teens getting super-powers?

I guess releasing with “Journey 2″ isn’t too bad, cuz it’s at least a family-action-adventure film, but “The Vow”?? REALLY?? That’s a romantic drama! If they’re really gunning for a February 10th release, they should do it with “The Phantom Menace” 3D re-release.

Can’t wait for the Trailer,all though I wish it debuted with the Super Bowl.A reboot was the right thing for this franchise. Spider-man 3 was like Batman and Robin in the sense of killing a good franchise and then rebooting after, going into a new direction. Spider-man and Spider-man 2 were great but after 3 I don’t think I could take Rami’s movies anymore.I am really getting a Batman Begins vibe, the fact that they are talking about his parents is very similar to what Batman Begins did with exploring Bruce Wayne being gone all those years.And the fact that they both don’t start with their greatest villain and the main villain has parallels and are mentors to the hero.I think the Amazing spider-man will be a success because its a new take on spidey. It looks like there will be a lot of character development and despite it being a little darker,I think this version spider-man will represent the character the best.

I’ve talked to people who are not to thrilled about a reboot, but i can’t wait for it. I think I am mostly looking forward to the screenplay since it is Steve Klove’s first project outside of Potter. I love how he wrote the characters in Potter and I can’t wait to see what kind of moments he can come up with the Spider-Man ensemble.
