A Hunger Games fansite has noticed that that a theater website in Brazil is now giving the film a PG-12 rating, which is the equivalent of a PG-13 in the United States.
You can see Cinemark’s listing for the movie with the rating right here.
We presume the MPAA in the United States has not yet rated the film considering they have not issued an official statement.
A PG-13 would not be a surprise given the book’s graphic action. Some had wondered if the film could get a R rating, but Lionsgate will not let that happen considering it’d alienate the younger viewers and parents.
Thanks to J.A. and Panem World for the tip!
