In a haze of post-holidays fervor, a whole new brand of Amazing Spider-Man merchandise has been developed and the scenarios pictured in the photographs of the toys have led to speculation about what will happen in the climax of the film.
Thanks to ComicBookMovie for these images below! Toy manufacturers are well known for creating scenes that don’t exist in films (See: My nephews ridiculous “Joker’s Lair” action set), but when a toy company is producing a set of toys to accompany a film (as MegaBlox is doing with The Amazing Spider-Man) they send inquiries to the studios to figure out which characters and set pieces will be featured in the climax that every little boy and girl will want to reenact.

Now, let’s guide you through the (possible) spoilers:
1) Spidey follows The Lizard into the sewers. We knew this was probably going to happen, given that having the Lizard without a sewer scene would be like having Bane in your Batman movie and having him not break Batman’s back.
2) Wow. So we’ve come to understand that we’ll see many phases of the Lizard’s transformation in The Amazing Spider-Man, (if you don’t believe us, check out this image of a long-snouted Lizard from last Summer) but this remote control likeness isn’t very flattering.
3) We can only hope that this is just for the sake of merchandise. Please. No one wants a Lizard-mobile.
4) …Or a Spidey-Mobile for that matter.
5) No spoilers here. Move along.
6) The Mega-Bloks is when we begin to get interested. Nothing to see here aside from the fact that Peter Parker has a room.
7) Now we’re getting somewhere. It looks like we have Spidey breaking into a “sewer-lab” and the Lizard is getting away on some type of Lizard jet-ski. Improbable, but it still shouldn’t be ruled out as an impossibility.
8) A Lizard-copter however might be pushing it.
9) Here’s what you all came here for. Beware, this next sentence is a massive spoiler. In the comics, The Lizard uses his serum to infect a team of SWAT officers, making them all transform into lizard-men like him. This is also based off of the famous issue of Spider-Man where Gwen Stacy is killed. If you look closely at the bottom right hand corner, you’ll notice that one of the characters available to be played with is a SWAT lizard.
So we’ve officially reached the end of what these toys could give us. What are your theories? Will the Lizard infect a SWAT team? Will Emma Stone’s Gwen Stacy bite the dust in her very first installment in the series?
