New ‘The Hunger Games’ movie poster revealed!

After launching a scavenger hunt earlier today, all 100 puzzle pieces have been found and the Hunger Games puzzle poster has been solved! See the awesome new HD poster in full after the jump!

The poster went live on the Hunger Games movie Facebook page after @johnshoward solved the puzzle in record time!

Not to be nit picky but i think the poster would look better if there wasn’t just Peeta and Katniss on the flags… and i don’t like that picture of Jennifer Lawrence.

This looks to just be a composition of 2 events. I think the road/stands are clearing from the “girl on fire” part and it will remain the same. We even slightly saw that part in the trailer. The flags like others have said are tv screens that introduce the contestant.

The picture of her with her arrows is probably just taken from some point within the games themselves. They just composed these 2 separate things to make a poster, nothing more.

Wow, great poster. I agree that the flags should have other tributes on them, and also I don’t think Katniss should technically have her bow yet, but other than that I love it! The colors, the pose, the tagline, the mockingjay pin on fire…. it’s a really excellent poster! It should definetley create a lot of hype for the fans, and generate some interest in the non-book fans.

I LOVE the effect this poster is giving me – the lit up stadium, the crowds of spectators, Katniss’ back as she looks towards the “road ahead” (for lack of a better cheesy saying). It really does give a “The World is Watching” feel.

My only slight criticism would be that it’s a little odd that only Katniss and Peeta are on the flags; there are other notable tributes I would have liked to have seen represented (Rue, Cato, etc). But the poster is kind of busy without that, so maybe this is better.

Either way, I’m pumped!

I don’t think those are flags…I feel that they are tv screens..they remind me of the opening parade scene from the trailer…

But the poster literally gave me chills! I’m so hyped!
I am really feeling Josh as Peeta!

or…maybe, if those are flags, that’s their way of introducing? like, they like, say some district and both the tributes flags are up, and that this was district 12′s tributes being introduced?

I don’t think this is a scene in the movie. It’s just the poster. You can tell since it’s obviously photoshoped. See the white lines around Katniss.

Lol, that’s the glowing effect not a blatant photoshop edit. If you look further down towards the title and credits there is no white outline. It’s supposed to be from the light in front of her making a glowing effect to outline the upper half of her body.

It shouldn’t bother anyone when you consider that even though there are 24 tributes, after the parade of tributes Katniss and Peeta became the star-crossed lovers. The ones to watch.

However, that doesn’t mean there won’t be one in Catching Fire. That’s when the whole “love triangle” thing starts. And Jacob wasn’t on the Twilight poster, just saying.

The point is that so many people have been moaning about the “triangle” from the moment we first heard the Twilight comparisons in the media and now we have a poster that is not about that at all so now everyone can calm themselves nicely.

This is cool, although she does not have her bow and arrows in the opening ceremonies.Would have been cool if the poster featured all the tributes in the beginning of the games as the poster like what we saw in the trailer.
