The evidence towards a trailer arriving with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 continues to stack up. Today a photo of a sheet of paper allegedly being given to theaters requests that a “full length trailer” be put in front of Breaking Dawn.

The paper notes that the trailer is 2 minutes and 30 seconds in length (the same as the trailer approved in Canada last week) and should be included with “every print of Twilight in your theaters.”

We believe this piece of paper to be legitimate, as the evidence about a new trailer releasing very soon continues to stack up. What’s more, we suspect Lionsgate really wants to push The Hunger Games as “the next Twilight” onto, at least, Twilight fans (*even though* they are entirely different).

Big thanks to The Hob for the tip.

The comparison doesn’t bother me…because I know that when they say it is the next “Twilight” they don’t mean the STORY..they mean the SUCCESS of the franchise….I don’t want a bunch of kids drooling over Liam or Josh and talking about teams, but I do feel that whatever fame the books will get, will be well earned.

  • Thecougar6

Not sure that this is legit…wouldn’t the studio make the effort to call the Twilight movie by it’s official title? “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1″. Me thinks this is not legit…but I DO still think that they will be premiering the trailer before BD.

  • Force Wizard

Not surprising about the Hunger Games trailer being paired with Twilight. Both movies belong to the same company. I most likely won’t see the trailer in theaters and will wait for it to come out on-line. I really want to see the new trailer

    • http://twitter.com/idabellas Ida Jammeh

the movies don’t belong to the same company twilight is Summit Entertainment  and hunger games is lionsgate.

      • Force Wizard

Oh oops. I thought that they were the same but guess not.

  • brittany

i need to see this trailer, but you wont catch me near a theatre when twilight comes out so it better get up online fast! haha  I’m sincerly hoping they’re referring to the popularity and not the crazt tweens because those people seem to be interested in sappy love stories not a fight for your life battle to the death.

    • Anonymous

Sappy ? Umm pretty sure fighting for your death has been done so don’t act like it’s so superior.

      • stargazer

I have to agree that I would rather watch the trailer online than go see Breaking Dawn.  As for sappy or superior/inferior, in my opinion Hunger Games is superior.  It’s all about characters for me and if I feel connected to the characters (past a “they’re soooo cute/hot/I want him” factor).  I didn’t feel connected to the Twilight characters (except Alice), but I cried during a certain scene with Rhue.  I’ve read all four Twilight books and listened to the first Hunger Games book on audiobook.

      • Astraea

An action-based dystopian story that shows the horrors of fighting and war is far superior to creepy unhealthy relationship between a Mary Sue and a control-freak, stalkerish vampire any day.

        • stargazer

Hahaha!  Exactly!  Like I said, I’ve only listened to the audiobook of Hunger Games, but it makes you think and question morals.  Twilight, it also made me think and question morals, but not in the way Stephenie Meyer intended.

    • GirlWhoCriedWhenSiriusDied

Sappy love stories? I didn’t think it deserved that much of a title

  • DreamNox58

I’m sure it will be in the Twilight movie, I mean, why wouldn’t it be?  I can’t wait though.  I can be excited for two things, Breaking Dawn and a preview for The Hunger Games!

  • Catherine

Most Twi-fans have already read this series and also been part of the success…hate to burst your bubbles but there are also already Team Peeta and Team Gale’s floating around….

I guess I’m going to the Breaking Dawn premiere… but I probably won’t stay past the trailers :P

    • Anonymous

Who cares just as long as you give us your money.

      • Anonymous

Actually I’m going to the premire with my friend…to see trailers . But I don’t have to pay. I get in free.

    • Anonymous

You can always look it up online. Going through the pain of buying a ticket just for trailers, and giving Twilight money/views is silly. :)

      • http://about.me/kyle Kyle

I know it is, but I really want to see it on the big screen :)

        • GirlWhoCriedWhenSiriusDied

True..maybe you can look it up on online and see it in theaters in a different movie? Cause I wanna see it on a big screen too now :)

          • http://about.me/kyle Kyle

I might just buy a ticket to a different movie, go into the Breaking Dawn theater to see the trailer, then leave and see the other movie :)

          • GirlWhoCriedWhenSiriusDied

BRILLIANT! z:) I might go for the trailer, but my brother works there so I get in free, guess they won’t get my money/views afterall.

          • http://about.me/kyle Kyle

I’m jealous! Guess I’ll have to pay :P

  • Alice

Harry Potter deathly hallows trailer was first shown before the last twilight movie. I’m not concerned.

  • http://www.twitter.com/vthenerd Vladan V.

I’m actually concerned because I don’t want whiny girls to scream about every HG movie.

    • Anonymous

Oh shut up and get over yourselves ! You and Potter fans are annoying and need to stop acting so superior.

      • Anonymous

Ok, couple of things, and I don’t want to start a fight but ::

        a) This person was just expressing their opinion, they said nothing to offend you so why do you tell them to shut up and get over themselves?

        b) You assume we’re Potter fans why? Vladan V. didn’t say anything to do with Potter just HG. But of course I’m a Potter fan, :), I’m yelling at you so it’s kinda obvious.

        c) Acting superior? It’s not our problem our fandom is better than yours. :)

        • http://www.twitter.com/vthenerd Vladan V.

          <3 *hugs*

Just for the record, I *am* a Potterhead. :)

          • Anonymous

            I kinda had a feeling but I was making a point z:)

I love how all the comments are complaints about the film it’s being showed in <3….except for TeamBella

          • Anonymous

            LOVE THE SMILEY FACE ;)

      • Zack

Please never compare HP and Twilight ever again–ever.

      • JMC

I don’t think Harry Potter fans even reach the annoyingness of the Twihard girls. Seriously do you see us having semi-orgasms for some weirdo who in real life you’d not even dare approach and then act like Twilight is sooo goood? Please, tell me what quality is because most Twihards ignore the meaning of quality these days. Harry potter has so much more depth, development, humanity, saneness, emotion, action, fantasy, realism, and originality and seriousness than Twilight. Sometimes I think Meyer wrote the book as a joke. But then again life is THAT funny sometimes. :)

    • http://twitter.com/katsue1985 Katherine

I completely agree Vladan. I don’t thing the Twihards realize how annoying it is to want to go watch a movie only to end up with a annoying scream blasted in your ears every time a guy walks on screen. If they wanted to watch the movies for the love of the movie great. If they want to lose their s#*t every time a Semi attractive guy walks on screen they should save it for home viewing. I used to be a Twilight fan but the Twihards just killed it for me. They make it embarrassing to admit you have ever read the books let alone seen the movies.

      • http://www.twitter.com/vthenerd Vladan V.

        This!

In overall, I think some of the fans just watch movies because of the guys… do they care about the plot? I don’t hate Twilight, I just don’t like (some of) its fans.

And yeah, I agree with your last sentence, well said.

  • Alohomora

Well, this will up Breaking Dawn’s views for sure.
Twilight and Hunger Games fans being the same? Sure it may be – but not in the way Lionsgate want, I reckon.

    • Anonymous

      Seriously ? I don’t think so !

  • Anonymous

Don’t care sorry ! I just want Breaking Dawn so hopefully this will pass so I can enjoy my movie. SAPPY LOVE STORIES is dumb ? Hahaha … Whatever !

  • Allie

Wow I never would have guessed…..:)

  • caroline.taylor078

I am going to see Breaking Dawn so I will look forward to seeing this!

  • Bernardotriana

I would pay a ticket to watch that trailer in cinema !!! But since its Twilight i wont go waste my money on that crap…

  • Anonymous

I think that Breaking Dawn will be the bigger movie for a while, just because its the last movie of the Twilight series. But i also think that HG will be popular too, it will be very controversial.

p.s. Excited to see both :)

  • Rick

THG official trailer in BD premier? okay I’ll just have to put up with stupid bella and her stupid boyfriend for about two hours.. not big deal! :D

    • Anonymous

Hey, dont be bitter…you probably never even read the series.

    • stark

sweetie you dont have to burden yourself with the movie, if you really dont like twilight. just go to youtube, you would be able to see the hg trailer. there are other ways you know…

  • PotterheadedHungerGamingGleek

Errrmmm right. Well as I will be staying home and watching ‘vampires suck’ and obsessing over my shiny new Deathly hallows Part II DVD and staying as far from Twilight as possible, I shall happily wait for the trailer to go online.

  • Astraea

Ugh. People, don’t boost Breaking Dawn’s revenue to watch the trailer; it’ll go online soon enough. And you know it’ll hit the Internet within hours of release anyway.

  • JMC

Just letting it be known, would you really risk such a piece of junk for teenage desperate teenage girls get more money and potentially threaten Harry Potter’s gross prestige just to see this trailer? I mean yeah the Hunger Games is amazing but you can wait a little more it won’t kill you, it’ll be free, you won’t have to put up with crowded theaters with annoying squealing girls on some quality-less film. Just saying. :)

Wow People get over yourselfs i love all three book series they are great for different reasons HP was about love and frindship you can’t compare that too Twilight and what that story represents. The Hunger games is about people standing up to the people and their abuse of power. Where can you compare any of thoes to each other other than they have become or will become the next things people fall in love with and escape from reality too?

  • Fanny

I went to see Breaking Dawn yesterday (it was so bad it was funny), and they didn’t show the full-length trailer, only the teaser. I noticed that people seemed a little bit interested in what it was, but I don’t think the teaser was enough (especially not when followed by a bunch of other trailers) to really “recruit” fans.
