‘The Hunger Games’ ‘Trailer #2′ rating appears in Canadian film classification directory – release imminent

We’ve been speculating that a new, lengthier trailer for The Hunger Games would be released this month with the opening of Breaking Dawn – Part 1 in theaters, and now that theory has gained some serious credibility.

A rating for a mysterious “Hunger Games, The (trailer #2)” has appeared on a film and trailer classification website in Canada. These listings in the past have been a reliable source for information.

The trailer clocks in at 2 minutes and 30 seconds and was just approved today.

Lionsgate, the distributor, has yet to make an announcement. In the mean time, be sure to watch the first trailer for The Hunger Games and check out the eight posters released last week!

  My guess is it will come online sometime between November 14 – 17. Totally a guess. But an educated one based on past trailer releases.

  Of course it will be released online! But the point of this timing is to additionally target Twilight audiences in the theaters.

haha :) I might just cave and go see Twilight just to see this on the Big Screen… I did that for Eclipse when the preview was for Harry Potter 6th? I think or 7 part 1? One of those. It was worth it :)

G … wait, what. The first trailer (or lack there of) sucked and now they’ll be slicing together something that gets a G rating? man you can rule out seeing anything good / action packed.

  Maybe they don’t want to reveal too much on the trailer? ‘Cause a 2 minute trailer can usually reveal a whole story, especially a book like the Hunger Games

oh maaaan… im freaking out. if it plays before breaking dawn… i get to see it at 8 o clock the thursday before it comes out, with all my friends who i know will freak out if the hunger games trailer is before it!

I was listening to this song and couldn’t help but feel that it suited the whole vibe of The Hunger Games perfectly! Maybe it should be on the soundtrack, or even in a trailer haha. The video clip even resembles the arena slightly! It’s called ‘The Reckoning’ by a band called The Getaway Plan (It wouldn’t let me link it here)

Not even a Hunger Games trailer will convince me to go sit through a Twilight film. I’ll (happily) wait for for it to come out online.

Squee! I’m hoping to see: a first glimpse of the Arena at the very least and the Capitol and District 12 at the most. I would also like to see all of the major characters (Peeta, Katniss, Haymitch, but Gale isn’t as important) and a few scenes. I want some key lines, like “I have some advice: Stay alive!”, and for the trailer to set up that the movie is a love story AND an action film, not one or the other.
I know, high expectations, but Lionsgate, we SAW the budget. You had better put something good together.
