Earlier today Marlene King, showrunner for Pretty Little Liars, announced she is working on the screenplay for Cassandra Clare’s City of Bones!
King tweeted the news earlier today:
“They’re making a movie of the Mortal Instruments and I’m happy to say [I'm] working on the script.”
King’s other work includes the screenplays for If These Walls Could, Now and Then, and Just My Luck. In 2000 King won the Women in Film Lucy Award and in 2011 she was nominated for the Banff Rockie Award for Best Continuing Series for Pretty Little Liars.
Does this get us closer to filming? Is she the right person for the job?
