‘Avatar: Legend of Korra’ to be pushed back to 2013?

Though fans of Nickelodeon’s Avatar series have been looking forward to seeing Legend of Korra premiere in 2012, recent rumblings around the internet have suggested that the show had been pushed to 2013.

We asked Nickelodeon for a comment on the matter.

Unfortunately they could only tell us that the network has not yet confirmed a premiere date. The good news here is that the 2013 pushback may not be set, and therefore a 2012 release could still be possible.

Regardless, Avatar fans are going to have to wait quite a bit longer.

I think the 2013 thing is just a rumor. They’ve completed both seasons apparently so I don’t see why they wouldn’t release it next year.

Avatar fans aren’t surprised by delays like this. Remember when they dragged out Season 3 and there was about 3 months between episodes? Not cool, but it’s life.

This is nonsense, the developers said the show was already well into production about a year and a half ago, and even backed up that statement at comic con … it doesn’t make sense if your show is nearing completion that you’d push it back an entire year. Like other comments have said, this show was suppose to hit in 2011, then pushed back to early 2012 then pushed back to mid 2012 and now its being pushed back to 2013? what is wrong with the show that is taking so long?

I’m going to be a bit upset if we have to wait, but I must say I’d rather there be a perfect series than a crappy one. But it better be wonderful either way:D

And they had better not make us wait till 2013. Remember when it was rumored to be coming out *this fall*?? They’ve already pushed this series through a year.

Anyways, thank you Andrew and everyone else who works hard on this website for being the first news site to cover both of my two favorite fandoms. It’s very difficult to find an up-to-date website for TLK news!

They wouldn’t push it back a whole year again, TV shows don’t run like that. Especially cartoons, it takes so much less effort than lets say, making a video game. They are going to release it this year, they pushed it back to make a second season possible, not for the hell of it. I doubt they would do this again without even hearing feedback on the first two seasons.
