Confirmed ‘Deathly Hallows – Part 2′ DVD deleted scene and featurette titles revealed

We’re getting close to the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 on DVD/Blu-ray, and now we’re learning what deleted scenes and features we’ll be able to find on the disc when it’s released in November.

The details were learned via a listing on the British Board of Film Classification’s website.

The scenes are:

00:01:09:10 (SC 184 – SHELL COTTAGE) (DELETED SCENE)
00:01:43:09 (SC 185 – HARRY & LUNA AT DOBBY’S GRAVE ON THE BEACH) (DELETED SCENE)
00:00:47:17 (SC 215 – HOG’S HEAD) (DELETED SCENE)
00:00:26:00 (SC 229E – MARBLE STAIRCASE – HARRY AND GINNY) (DELETED SCENE)
00:00:26:07 (SC 242 – WOODEN BRIDGE) (DELETED SCENE)
00:00:18:03 (SC 245 – HOGWARTS BATTLEMENTS) (DELETED SCENE)
00:00:37:02 (SC 274 – SLYTHERIN DUNGEONS) (DELETED SCENE)
00:00:18:20 (SC 346G – MARBLE STAIRCASE – RON & HERMIONE) (DELETED SCENE)

Though other sites are calling these a “rumor”, the BBFC is reliable as they come so these ARE indeed what you’ll find on the DVD/Blu-ray.

What’s more: A second listing we found notes the following two items:

00:01:00:03 POTTERMORE (ADVERT)
00:10:25:04 THE GOBLINS OF GRINGOTTS (FEATURETTE)

We’re wondering what the Pottermore advertisement will include? Surely it will promote that the site is open to the public (as it will be by November). Maybe a new message from J.K. Rowling? And The Goblins of Gringotts will likely focus on the work that went into assembling and designing the many Goblins we see in the film. Actor Warwick Davis spoke to the work a lot while promoting the film in July.

No word yet on other special features, but we’ll keep you updated! Thanks to Snitch Seeker for the tip.

Do these deleted scenes sound interesting to you? None are really standing out to us, though a scene at the Hog’s Head and more Hogwarts battles may be nice.

i really hope that’s not it!!! i wanna see the original epilogue the trio filmed! and the alternate endings the Malfoy family filmed!!

Kind of mad they didn’t include the good deleted scenes we know they filmed, like Harry’s walk back towards a crowd at the Entrance Hall after Voldemort’s death or the daytime Great Hall battle sequence with Neville deflecting spells with the Sword of Gryffindor and McGonagall taking on some Death Eaters. Even Flitwick vs Nagini on the Grand Staircase and Hagrid fighting some Death Eaters during the battle.

I guess these will just stay hidden forever…

  Just because they filmed it doesn’t mean they’re in any condition to be included on a DVD release

    The Dudley scene was incomplete, and yet they released it. It’s not about what condition they are in, I just want to see the actors portray the characters during those situations.

    as long as they filmed the scenes, they should just add the special effects if they weren’t already done before they deleted the scenes from the final cut, they should just have a move on and release them

I would like to believe that the Hogs Head scene is Dumbledore’s backstory but i’m not holding my breath.

Is Slytherin Dungeon going to be a scene showing all the Slytherins being locked up? Poor Slytherins.

The titles are a little too cryptic to raise interest levels too high.

  I believe the Slytherin dungeon scene shows Filch standing guard with the dungeon wall behind him explodes, allowing the Slytherins to get out – that’s why some of them are visible in some battle scenes (the shot of Filch was included in some trailers, I think)

they’re all really short!? Where’s the alternate Malfoys and the original filming of the epilogue?! Oh wait, they’re probably saving them for a ‘super-fan, ultimate, the-best-ever, extortionately priced, quintessential’ edition that I won’t be able to afford…

erm..Fred’s Death??!?? where is it? they said it was filmed but cut because it was “too sad” it MUST be on the DVD!

I was really hoping for the first Epilogue they filmed. I still hope they include it. I believe someone said it would be on the DVD. I can’t remember who, though.

If you look behind the group at the epilogue you can actually see Teddy Lupin. He is the shaggy looking guy standing almost directly behind them.
What if the Shell cottage scene is Lupin actually telling everyone the Tonks had a baby???? That would be so cool!!!

    I know.. It really sucks that he won’t be in there. Or that we won’t see Scorpius face, since none of the deleted scenes are from the epilogue.. It’s just like Victor Krum not being on the Part 1 DVD..

As totally awesome as these scenes are sure to be, they’re incredibly short. If the Blu-Ray gets more of them, I will be very angry. Harry Potter is loved by everyone, and the deleted scenes should be accessible to everyone (including those who can’t get the Blu-ray because of ridiculous prices).

The best scenes would be (will be?) Teddy Lupin (seriously, why mention him once in the film and not say anything else before or after?) scenes and the original epilogue. Dumbledore’s story could be cool too (didn’t someone say it was filmed but not shown?).

Meh. I agree with the other commenters: there are many other scenes they can include, why only these? That said, I look forward to the Ron & Hermione and Harry & Luna ones.

One thing they absolutely need to include is the blooper reel, though: I’ve been waiting for it for nearly a decade!

All cool deleted scens that I expected. Doesnt look like we’ll ge those more interesting alternate story telling scenes like the orignal King’s Cross and Epilogue (which I imagine David Yates is too embarrassed to ever show) or various other Malfoy endings or other parts of the extended Harry and Voldemort tussle

I’m really looking forward to the Hog’s Head scene, as I was disappointed in how short it was and how they didn’t go into more detail with Dumbledore’s past. Not sure what the scene will encompass, but that’s what I’m hoping it’ll be about. Other than that, none of the deleted scenes really stand out to me either…though I’m sure I’ll love them when I watch them. :)

I was really hoping a deleted scene would be Luna and Harry in the Ravenclaw Common Room, being a Ravenclaw that’s a scene I was very much looking forward to in the movie. I do find the list interesting…but basicaly they’re scenes we’ve already seen, just extended a bit. I would like additional footage, like maybe the Epilogue that they first shot, and all the Malfoy’s departures, Creevy’s death, FRED’S FREAKING DEATH!!! I could go on..I mean i know we’re luck enough to have any, but I was really looking forward to these…ehh..whatever. Just going to have to wait and see.

  Colin’s death was never shown due to the actor Hugh not being able to make it there, Nigel served as a replacement and they shot Nigel’s death scene but it was cut also. With all the stuff they have missed out they could have done a 2hr 50 min movie but if it gets that long cut it again, we won’t mind we would still have a time to wait before the era ended but no. I REALLY hope there are more than these. Don’t get me wrong, I love anything I can get! But a few 30 sec long clips aren’t what I was expecting for the end of an era… Maybe we’ll be pleseantly surprised:)

I WANT BEHIND THE SCENES OF RON AND HERMIONE’S KISS. I DONT CARE. I JUST WANT IT WITHOUT RON’S HEAD IN THE WAY. Oh, and maybe behind the scenes of Fred’s death. And tonks and lupin. More Duelling scenes would be nice! :)

Meh, I’m disappointed but not surprised. They know we’ll all buy the DVD no matter what. They also know that when they release the (ridiculously expensive) “collector’s edition” or something a year/five/whatever from now, we’ll buy it again… I wish I could be stronger and say “No, Warner Bros, I will not be a pawn in your money-making games”, but who am I kidding…

So much stuff cut, man I would of killed myself if I was in the test screenings, it woulda been so exiticing. Nigels death was in the test screenings, Freds, Remus and Tonks. SO FREAKING MUCH GONE TO WASTE! If it was too long just cut it again IT DOESN’T MATTER. that way we dont have to see harry potter end quickly and you get more money!!

No… the scenes i REALLY wanted to see were Percy Weasley coming to the battle… reuniting with his family… too bad :( but I SOOOOOO wanted to see Fred’s death… not because i wanted him to die, because Fred and George are some my favorite characters in the books, and the little blurb we get in the film just isn’t….. right. (of course I’d have also liked them to also actually TELL the audience that Lupin and Tonks are expecting a baby…)
